    The ICE supervisor gave them instructions to call one number, his. Like i said, maybe a general dispatch number would be better. Seems like it should be important.

    It is ICE's fault here. They gave a number to call when the guy is going to be released. Unfortunately they gave a number that no one was answering or checking messages on.

    You guys want open borders, the elimination of ICE and the Border Patrol, citizenship for everyone,but when one of your pets goes off the rails you blame the law enforcement agency you want to eliminate. What a bunch of friggin hypocrites? I'm betting you're rooting for the illegal.

    I don't care if ICE picked up the guy or not. The legal system will process him and they will have plenty of time then. But if ICE wants to pick up the guy when he gets out of the detention center, their failure to do so is clearly on them. Especially when there are thousands of on duty ICE agents within an hour of the jail and you give a contact number to the one who is going on vacation.

    ICE needs to be fixed. It is extremely inefficient.

    They didn't help him enter, or conceal him in any way. They attempted to notify ICE, and the only transport he was provided was to jail. Creative reasoning on your part, but utter fail at legal interpretation...

    I don't know whom you're talking about, and I didn't read the link in the OP; but politicians who issue public invitations to illegal aliens to reside in their cities or states are prosecutable under the statute I cited, no question about it.

    What are your views of Sanctuary cities?

    If ICE sends a detainer, they should keep the prisoner behind bars until they get there. This
    Illegal was released the same day. No the jails were not full. They released him because they are a sanctuary city.

    You don’t want to follow our federal laws, then you should not get any federal money.

    The cop that released him should be on the hook as an accessory if he rapes again.

    What are the odds that the perp will actually show for his court date?

    This is one of the problems with a porous border and undocumented persons (illegal aliens). Tough to track them down after they commit a crime because their identity isn't tied to anything and likely fake anyway. Another possibility is they can slip back across the border until the heat is off.

    I never said law.... I will say that a police department should comply with a ICE request instead of releasing someone who should be deported.

    You obviously favor the illegal criminal over Ice. I hope the next person he rapes is not a relative of yours.
