    BUT--The "Greenland Thing" is a NON-Starter (that NOBODY takes seriously).

    In other words (as is usually the case with Trump in "negotiations"):

    Greenland is playing 5-D Chess (while Trump is playing Kiddie Checkers).:salute:

    There is nothing to discuss. Meeting with prime minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, a socialist would be about as productive as meeting with Bernie Sanders, another inconsequential idiot. Hell, she doesn't even golf.
    I'm sure if she wanted to visit the WH, Trump would make time for her but otherwise Denmark is not a high priority. Anyway, she's probably busy finding the money to pay for her welfare state, Greenland.

    I think cancellation of a trip to Denmark over their PMs refusal to discuss the sale is a very ill-advised move.
    A better idea is to reach out to Greenlanders directly. And no one should use the word sale - I’d replace it with joining the union with the USA for monetary compensation to each and every voting citizen/resident of the island.
    Trump can literally bypass Denmark and get Greenland to vote to separate and join the US in one move, without paying Denmark a penny.

    I appreciate your sentiment but Greenlanders do not make this decision.

    Denmark does.

    Gaining the approval of those who don't make the decisions is a fools errand.

    At least Trump knows where the mechanisms are.

    Thats where Trump will talk.

    It might be a good tax write off for Jeff Bezos. If the mineral recourses were valuable enough, they would already have been developed. The state is only of minor strategic value to the US anymore. It only becomes more valuable to the US if Russia or China becomes interested in mining near a US asset, Thule Air Base, located there.
