Unfortunately, with false identities being used, he will probably commit more crimes against American citizens and the connection to the other crimes will never be known. Our politicians have ceased guarding the flock from the wolves. They protect whoever they think will keep them in power.

You would think they would photograph & finger print him, but who knows what they do in a sanctuary city. A photograph & fingerprint would probably violate his rights in a sanctuary city.

No, I favor black-letter law and constitutional due process over your feel-facts and whatever you think "should" happen.

Objective reality - you should really try it sometime...

    You favor black-letter law?

Then quote me the law that allows cities to become Sanctuary cities?

    Wrong !

Legal opinions vary if it is constitutional.

Sanctuary cities are not in the constitution.

I do wish it would go to the Supreme Court, but I am sure you wouldn’t like that.

What about the black letter of the law?

Logical fallacy on your part - demanding proof of a negative. The proper question is: Quote me the law that PREVENTS cities from becoming Sanctuary cities.

If there is no law saying that they can't, then legally they CAN. That's how the law and objective reality work...

What law? Quote me the law that PREVENTS cities from becoming Sanctuary cities.

Specifically - what federal law requires local jails to do what you think this jail "should" have done?

Is that what you call the black letter of the law?

I do have to admit... I loved Trumps idea of bussing all the illegals to sanctuary cities.

They want them, they can have them.

Maybe your right... but I wish they would add that law, but that won’t happen with a democratic house.

Legal opinions do vary if it is constitutional.

I do love trumps idea of bussing all the illegals to sanctuary cities.

I consider black-letter law to be that which is written, codified and enforceable, and I'm still waiting for you to provide an example of such that this city and its personnel violated.

Doesn't it seem like bad policy to create a situation where an illegal immigrant has the opportunity to escape after committing rape and assault?

You were the one who mentioned the black letter of the Law

When I asked what black letter of the law that allowed Sanctuary cities.

You then said.... the constitution didn’t you?

Well it is not in the constitution and opinions vary if it is constitutional.

Then you can say they can do it because there is no law against it....

    Your a true democrat dude.
    A real flip flopper

No, MM did. Try to keep up.

There is no law that forbids the actions taken by the jail, and you might want to familiarize yourself with the 10th Amendment and what it means.

Actually, I said it was legal, which it most certainly is. Not only can they do it, they have done it, and there is precisely dick that you or ICE can do about it except impotently piss and moan because you don't like it. It's the reason no legal action has been taken (or can, or will), and only the right-wing echo chamber is interested in the story. Those who live in the real world understand that the law has been followed to the letter. Given your posts on this so far, your mileage might understandably vary in that regard...

As long as I don’t live or near a sanctuary city, I will survive.

I also hope Trump does bus all the illegals into the sanctuary cities.

Just look what has happened to liberal California. Tents, crap and needles in the street. They deserve it !

Sorry I confused you with the other guy MM
I am at work, working off my phone when I have time.

Very Soviet of you two. Stalin and Mao - not to mention Pol Pot - would give that logic a standing ovation. Hell, I bet Hitler and Mussolini would give you at least a golf clap... :applause:

Considering that the actual data shows that crime rates of citizens is MUCH higher than that of illegals, you might not.

Please note that the chart reflects Texas data, where there is some actual numerical parity between the two groups.

So making someone responsible for their actions is Stalin? Please go read a book.

No, but making them responsible for someone else's certainly is. By your logic, if someone takes one of your guns and uses it to shoot up a kindergarten classroom, you should be charged with murder.

If ICE issued a hold the judge had no right to release him on bail
