Still not an example of white privilege, or lack thereof at all.

I accept that you believe that. I am pretty sure I was on topic though and you're missing the point.

I don't think the people moaning about these programs to help minorities and women care about "real equality".

I guess you don't listen to your fellow "conservatives", ones in this very thread.

According to them, the only people who are the victims, the only people who are oppressed, are white males.

You don't think anyone is a victim of anything?

    What does it entail?

Don't imagine they're actually self loathing. It's strictly lip service.

    They adore being overlords.

You need to spend some time as a white person in a society which doesn't care for white people. Your bizarre idea that nothing a white person experiences in the way of racism matters, would be corrected within a week.

Beards hide a mulititude of structural defects and skin issues. And they stop you looking like a girl :)

They care far more about equality than anyone actually in favour of such discriminatory programs. Obviously.

Equality means everyone is treated equally - REGARDLESS of race of gender. Programs do the opposite.

You can do what you want when you work from home like I do. But what does that have to do with anything?

I've been following this thread, this is a strawman of YOUR creation. Unless I missed it and you can quote any post stating that? You will likely make some leaps and that is all.

So who's oppressed or a victim?

As I expected, no quote to support your strawman. Who said this (your strawman post, in red)

I guess you don't listen to your fellow "conservatives", ones in this very thread.

Quote please. You indicated more than one, just quote one. Easy peasy, right?

If you are having a cow over the word "only", get over it.

In general, what I said is true.

Why don't you show me a quote from a conservative showing any concern over any "victims" or "oppressed" people that aren't white? Or even an acknowledgement or an ounce of concern or empathy or anything other than derision?

So who do you think is oppressed or a victim?

We might be able to work up some concern over oppression if the left could show any evidence of anyone being oppressed in America today. Since they cannot, we're not concerned about it.

Lots of people are victims of a great many things, but anyone who labels him/herself as a victim automatically excludes him/herself from succeeding in life. Do you know the difference between a victim and a hero? Not giving up. Heroes go through all the same sh!t victims do, but they don't give up. They keep pressing on until they succeed. Victims give up.

Well a couple of people here mentioned the racism against them for being white males.

So you are saying they aren't oppressed or victims? No one is?

You may call this linguistic hair-splitting, but let's define terms here. Racism is judging someone on the basis of his/her race. Discrimination is making a decision based solely or primarily on the basis of someone's race. So lots of people can be victims (I'll get back to that word) of racism and still not be discriminated against. Lots of people can be victims of discrimination and not have suffered racism. If someone is a white male business owner and does not qualify for a business loan because that business loan is set aside for a female or minority business owner, he has been discriminated against. It's not racism, but it is racist, in that it specifically prevents someone from being considered, not on merit, but on race itself.

No one is oppressed in America today, or if they are, it's in a basement of some criminal ne'er-do-well, not as a result of government policy. Lots of people are victims, but you only stay a victim by choice. I've known a couple of paraplegics in my life now, and one was a victim, went through life with a big chip on his shoulder, miserable and unhappy, single, broke, living on SS. The other was a hero, happily married, two kids, good job, house in the suburbs, worked on his own truck even though his legs don't work. What's the difference? One gave up and the other didn't.

    Uh huh.

    All splitting hairs aside....

you are saying the guys who were "discriminated" against because of "race" are what, exactly? Victims? Oppressed? Or what?

Btw, if someone is in their synagogue, and a white supremacist comes in and shoots them, would you not call them a "victim"?
