Quoting a Fox News poll and simultaneously calling it faux noise?

    Very intelligent.

It's clever, yes, accepting the numbers while doxxing the media outlet.

Some DP activists get it. Most still son't.

"Moore and others on the left are furious with what they view as a rudderless Democratic Party that has failed to develop a new strategy or message in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s surprising election loss in November.

Moore ripped the Democratic National Committee and its House campaign arm for having “no message, no plan, no leaders.” Democratic leaders “hate the resistance,” Moore said, underscoring the lingering tension between the party’s grassroots base and the establishment in Washington.”
THE HILL, Michael Moore: Dems have ‘no message, no plan, no leaders’, BY JONATHAN EASLEY - 06/21/17.

I'm not sure what Moore is complaining about.

On economics, the message is "equality"!

On immigration, the policy is "no family separations", meaning either that they want kids held in jails with their criminal parents or they want to just release them i.e., open borders.

The majority of D candidates appear to want Medicare for all.

On the environment, most want more regulation.

On crime, they want more laws protecting LBGTBLT "rights" and decriminalization of marijuana.

On the homelessness, they want more more money to subsidize indolence, defecation on sidewalks, and ... drug use.

They want more policing of police officers

On guns, they yawn at the weekly slaughter in Chicago and see the rare if unfortunate mass murders by white males.

    What else does he want?

Moore is suggesting that the DP find at least one or two issues that might inspire some ordinary Americans to vote Democrat.

That seems to be Mission Impossible for DP pols.

"I’m struck at how many people have come up to me recently and said, “Trump’s going to get re-elected, isn’t he?” And in each case, when I drilled down to ask why, I bumped into the Democratic presidential debates in June. I think a lot of Americans were shocked by some of the things they heard there. I was.
I was shocked that so many candidates in the party whose nominee I was planning to support want to get rid of the private health insurance covering some 250 million Americans and have “Medicare for all” instead. I think we should strengthen Obamacare and eventually add a public option.
I was shocked that so many were ready to decriminalize illegal entry into our country. I think people should have to ring the doorbell before they enter my house or my country.

I was shocked at all those hands raised in support of providing comprehensive health coverage to undocumented immigrants. I think promises we’ve made to our fellow Americans should take priority, like to veterans in need of better health care.

And I was shocked by how feeble was front-runner Joe Biden’s response to the attack from Kamala Harris — and to the more extreme ideas promoted by those to his left."
THE NEW YORK TIMES, ‘Trump’s Going to Get Re-elected, Isn’t He?’, Voters have reason to worry., By Thomas L. Friedman, Opinion Columnist, July 16, 2019.

Just add 5 to 10 points to Trump's polling numbers to correct for bias and the "polling blind spot" for a more accurate picture of where the election is heading.
Or just read Thomas Friedman. ;-)

They were right about Trump. Clinton beat his butt in the PV.

MORE THAN 14 MILLION VOTED AGAINST than for him. His win was fluke.

MORE THAN 18 to 20 MILLION will VOTE AGAINST him than for him next year. It will be a slaughter of Trump.

This is an adjusted multiple-poll average.

The best adjustment one could hope for Trump is maybe 1%.

Anyone arguing against has no evidence, proof, numbers.

Personal opinion simply is not acceptable.

I'm very surprised that you didn't spend a lot of time attacking the candidates positions or background in politics and resorted to mostly personal attacks like "who honeymooned in the USSR. Who does that?", "a preachy, fake Indian", "a befuddled old pol", "judgmental hypocritical climber", or "melodramatist who thinks he is leader of a slave uprising".

    That is TWO YEARS OLD!

Try something a little more recent.

You should try something a little Moore recent.

"BILL MAHER: You and I were on this page before anybody else that he was serious about running and that he absolutely could win and probably would. Maybe they will listen to us now.

MOORE: Four months before the election on this stage. They didn't listen before.

    MAHER: They're not going to.

MOORE: No, listen, but seriously you have to listen. They have to -- people, where are you?

MOORE: You have to listen this time because he is going to win the 2020 election."

    https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2018/06/30/michael_moore_trump_will_win_in_2020.html#!

But do they listen? No - you just can't. ;-)

I am happy to talk policy. This thread is not about policy. It is about politics. It is about the curious tendency in both major parties to nominate the colorful, the sensational, and the noisy over the sensible, measured, and reticent.

Beto over Delaney? Booker over Bullock? Nothing explains this other than an infatuation with noise.

    Yet MOORE old stuff!

The Dem Establishment was taught a LESSON in the midterms by the Progressives. The Establishment would LOSE to your odious BLOTUS. The Progressives are NOT going to allow that to happen in 2020.

So stop slinging it and say something substantive and affirmative for a change.

The few sensible Democrats in the race, and Bernie Sanders (who loved the USSR) know and have said that this "Trump sucks!" drumbeat is not going to motivate anyone to get out and vote other than yellowdogs. You'd think they'd have learned that pure negativity doesn't work in 2016, but, alas ....

Of course, they have the Green New Deal.:bored:

It was YOU that was being called out for your absence of substance in the OP.

I just provided the reason why there was no substance.

Onus is NOT on me to make up for your lack of substance because that is YOUR problem, not mine.

Politics is all about policy. The essence of politics is what politicies will be most beneficial to us and our families. In fact the reason these politicians are so popular is down to that.

Warren may be a former fake Indian but she has a lot of detailed plans that progressives love. Bernie may be an aging socialist but he has some big plans for reforming the system and potentially benefitting millions.

Biden is popular because he has a lot of actual experience and has more moderate ideas that are more workable.

I am a moderate dem but I do understand that the problem with the moderate dems in the field is that they don't really have a lot of ideas and plans and mostly just oppose stuff.

    Not interested in the insults.

I'll respond if and when you have some respectful and substantive explanation to why the first Democrats I named (and complimented) are less popular than the fake Indian and the confused and worn out plagiarist.

One is a progressive, the other a moderate, so it's not policy.

So Friedman thinks Trump will be reelected because Dems are too liberal and Moore thinks Trump will he re-elected because they aren't liberal enough?

For some people its a series of personal attacks and gossip. For most, its about what policies help them and their families.
