Faithless elector: A court ruling just changed how we pick our president

Well, not really surprising really on the 10th Circuits ruling. That is how the Founders originally envisioned it anyways. For those that know history The People didn't start actually voting for the President until a few Presidents into our history. (sorry, can't remember exactly which ones atm). In fact voting by the People for the President had to be Amended into the Constitution.

In any case...As the Article notes another such suit was brought up in Washington and that court ruled differently. Not all that surprising really. However I am not making this thread to discuss the differences. That deserves its own thread.

In THIS thread I want to discuss the effect that this will have on this:

These 14 states want to get rid of the Electoral College and let the popular vote decide presidential elections

If that ruling stands is doing this even worth it in the end?

Getting rid of the electoral college is the worst idea imaginable. It ensures the tyranny of the majority.

I do not disagree. I left out my opinion in the OP however so that we could focus on the effect that ruling will have on what those states are trying to do with their EC votes.

So logically, Democrats will continue to ignore flyover country and adopt policy to force people into cities that further forces them to rely on more govt which forces them to vote in more policy that grows the govt so more people are employed by the state and keep voting in more policy to create a socialist utopia that will eventually implode in on itself. But at least the elite Liberals at the top will have excellent lives.

Very much like Lil Kim over in NK. His life is wonderful because he lives off all the people. They have nothing while the few have everything, handing out scraps to the minions. Liberal utopia!!!!
