"Stupid"? You are shamelessly spreading falsehoods. Can't you try to be accurate?

The President is mentally ill. We shouldn’t be making fun of him. What is truly tragic is no one—l mean not a soul—cares enough about the guy to get him help.

Have we—as a country—become so self interested, so morally bankrupt that we’re willing to stand and watch someone mentally melt down before our eyes?

Today he was delusional and incoherent. Embarrassing to himself and the country. No, this is not normal behavior and it is getting progressively worse.

Mortgage interest wasn't "eliminated" but deductions were capped.

Meaning that if you had other substantial deductions, very likely your mortgage interest was no longer calculated because it was over that cap.

Essentially it DID eliminate it in many states that have higher property and income taxes.

    Cost me $2500

Obviously you didn't read the article. Prices on goods from China have not gone up for American consumers so no we are not paying the tarrifs. China is either lowering prices to counteract the tariffs or importers are absorbing them or both.

You want Trump's critics that include Democrats, Republicans, and independents to stop reading and listening. That sounds like a Trumpet.

You are totally incapable of defending Trump ... again. That sounds like a Trumpet.

That is a lie, and you have no idea what you are talking about. Steel and aluminum prices went up. Cars and appliances use steel and aluminum. Those prices went up.

Trump changed his mind on his 10% tariff on Chinese consumer goods. That tariff hasn't been imposed.

That's because Trump's tariffs were not on consumer goods. His tariffs were on raw materials. It was his way of hiding tariffs from the American public.

We know that from whom? Trump? Please provide a responsible source, not a Trump website called Breitbart.

That statement is quite accurate when tariffs are placed on things like computers, cellphones, clothing, shoes, etc. Trump knows that, although he won't say it publicly. He said it with his decision. He backed down on placing a 10% tariff on $300B of Chinese consumer goods for the time being.

He will probably cancel them permanently. Raising prices on computers, cellphones, clothing, shoes, etc. is political suicide and his party will tell him that.

Now back to how Trump makes a fool of himself at news conferences. See post 24.

The weakness of your argument other than it being fantasy is you tried to change the subject.

I am saying a break may be good for their overall mental health and happiness. Anyone who can never say anything positive about the President or his cabinet clearly has some form of depression and despair going on in their heads and those that say otherwise are only fooling themselves and should seek help in finding joy in their lives.

I don't get it. I have been hearing this for a while, and I simply do not understand it.

A recent poll tells us that 84% of Republicans are loyal to Trump.

Where are they? Why don't they support Trump? Why don't they defend Trump if they still agree with him? What they are doing makes no sense.

For example, in the OP and again on post 24 I showed numerous times how Trump continues to make a complete fool of himself. Trump's supporters simply ignored reality, tried to change the subject, heaped abuse on me for telling the truth, or making wisecracks that fell woefully short of being funny. Except for one Trump fan who told me not to read and listen so much to news, no Trump supporter tried to defend his hero after reading post 24.

Does anyone in that 84% have an answer for me?

Is it because they know they made a horrible mistake and they are too ashamed to admit it?

Please, some Trump supporter tell me why you don't actively support Trump.

You can start by explaining this apparent contradiction in almost the same sentence. First, Trump says the trade war with China "isn't my trade war." Then he said while looking heavenward, "Somebody had to do it, so I'm taking on China. I am the chosen one."

The two sentences are mutually exclusive. They both can't be true.

I am beginning to understand why Trump supporters don't support Trump.

What I don't understand is, why do they support a man they can't support. That makes no sense.

You purposely avoided the meaning of the OP. I never said Trump spoke incoherently. That isn't the issue.

The issue is, what he said in many cases made no sense. First, he says he is thinking about a payroll tax cut. In the next sentence he says he is "not looking to do anything at this moment." His White House agrees with the latter statement. So, what is he talking about?

Then he insults millions of American Jews by saying that if they vote Democrat they are being stupid and disloyal to Israel. That is an incredibly ludicrous statement for a President to make. 80% of the Jewish vote went to Democrats in 2018. Are they all stupid and disloyal?

I could go on, but it is not how he made remarks, but what his remarks said. They were deranged and contradictory. His position on background checks depends on what day it is.

You knew that. You were trying to change the subject.

The Group of Seven (G-7) summit is set to end without a joint communique for the first time in its 44-year history, after French President Emmanuel Macron decided to abandon the tradition citing “a very deep crisis of democracy.”

Macron said an attempt to produce a joint communique would most likely be a “pointless” exercise.

He referenced President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from a landmark climate agreement restricting global efforts to cut carbon as one example of why it would be difficult to display a united front.

Last year, at the G-7 summit in Ottawa, Canada, Trump threw typically stage-managed proceedings into disarray.

The U.S. president made an early exit from the meeting, refused to sign the collective final statement and engaged in personal insults over trade with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The summit appeared to demonstrate fraying ties between the U.S. and its traditional allies, with one photo seemingly summing up divisions in the room.

Trump's followers think this is smart. They want Trump to isolate America from its allies. One of Trump's followers is a fella named Vladimir Putin. Putin wanted Trump to become our President, and he is quite proud of his protégé.

This thread is not about income taxes. This is about Trump making a complete fool of himself, and the inability of his supporters to defend him.

    It is also about this.

Trump is scared to death of the White House press corps. Trump has terminated press conferences conducted by his press secretary in the White House press room. Trump has conducted two full-fledged press conferences in two and a half years. Both were disasters, and he won't hold another. By way of contrast, by this time Obama had conducted 20 solo press conferences. https://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/statistics/data/presidential-news-conferences

Trump has become the secret President.

He likes to hold news conferences with friendly reporters on the White House lawn with Marine One churning away. Although unpresidential, Trump is forced to shout his answers, and reporters' question are difficult, if not impossible, to hear.

Where are the 84% of Republicans who support Trump? Defend his actions. Is this what you want? A secretive President?
