I really don't know what the current ROE are with armed UAV's.

From my understanding Trump isn't micromanaging the military and are allowing the generals and admirals to do their job.

 

They didn't brag about it on every available media.

 

Remember when Trump talked about killing the families of terrorists? And this is the supposedly "Christian" party???

 

Not surprising, when you have no answer just blame Pres. Obama. Smfh.

Really, he said he knows more than the generals.

 

We both know Trump could care less about military policy. He's like most Americans: foreign policy utterly bores him, except when it comes to trade deals. I don't blame him for that. He ran as a businessman. He specifically said we were stupid for blundering into these wars. And he was right. Americans are sick of this.

But if you're going to run as a businessman, assemble a good team to advise you, because you're going to have to do foreign policy whether you like it or not. Right now, our foreign policy is a shambles. We just told the world Iran launched a major attack on our ally, and we're doing what about it? Sending a couple of hundred troops to the region? You can't be happy with this situation.

I get it. I don't want a war either. But this is a mess, we look bad, it's happening under Trump's watch, and he bares responsibility because he tore up an agreement his predecessor had made. The buck stops with Trump.

And the President should NOT be "bored" with foreign policy, he should be interested and actively involved in it...that is his JOB.

 

It's going to cost trillions of dollars and thirty or more years to repair the damage that the Obama administration inflicted upon our military and national security.

President Trump inherited Obama's PC Navy and can't even put three Carrier Strike Groups (CSG) to sea in their assigned AOR's.
Remember when President Bush (43) was able to put 10 Carrier Battle Groups (CDG) to sea when the Chi-Coms were rattling their sabers ?

Last week one CSG went to sea on it's six month deployment and the aircraft carrier was left behind in port.

So far the generals, admirals and Pompeo have convinced Trump not to take the bait.

General "Mad Dog" Mattis and neocon John Bolton would have encouraged President Trump to take the bait, hook line and sinker.

 

Lets put it this way, when Obama entered the White House 17% of the Navy's ships couldn't put to sea and fight on any given day.

Basically the lack of maintenance.

When Obama left the White House less than 50% of the Navy's ships were able to put to sea and fight.

Taking money away from training for war and maintenance to be spent on stupid stuff like PC social engineering of the military isn't the best way to spend the taxpayers dollars.
