Stereotyping and profiling are a survival mechanism. If we look past the virtual signaling, liberal whites engage in it at the same rate as conservative whites. There are neighborhoods in Milwaukee that NO whites (conservative or liberal) would ever dare stroll through. The whites who do not stereotype or profile tend to end up dead, raped or robbed.

If you are white and state this group of people are not any more dangerous to you than a group of old white ladies, all I can say is prove it by taking a hike through the hood. Pattern recognition is a human thing and if a person is too insipid to recognize threats to their well being, they deserve what happens to them.

The mass shootings of blacks by other blacks are political terrorism. It is just the politics are extremely local.

Not in my neck of the woods. We have about 2 homicides a year in my county.

Can't argue that except to say that if there was no other reason than being Muslim, it's a pretty dumb reason to cancel a flight given the precautions taken. Now, if those guys had tattoos and flashed gang signs while hiding their identity, it might have been more of a concern.

If you've had the misfortune of growing up poor in a bad area of town with a high population of blacks, you learn to be weary through direct experience. Even black people are profiling the other black people around them. A black male living in Detroit, St. Louis, Chigago etc., isn't worried about crazy neo-nazis.

Terror is an aspect of gang culture and the drug trade. They seek to put fear in the hearts of their rivals through violence, with the intent of gaining more power and control. MS-13 has the motto of "rape, control, kill". So yes, it's the same thing.

Gangs are political. They exert political control over their turf.

And most have a hierarchical structure, bylaws, and a philosophy or common purpose of some sort.

Yes, did any of those terror attacks they list by Muslims not really happen?

There is nothing wrong with being suspicious based on stereotypes!!!!

However there is something wrong with assuming guilt based on stereotypes.

If these two men did something to make the flight crew uncomfortable it should be investigated and upon being found innocent they should be put on the next available flight to their destination with apologies and a free upgrade to first class.

they cancelled the whole flight, does everyone get first class?

anyway, I don't have a problem with an airline and the TSA taking security seriously and if someone or even a whole plane is occasionally (he'd taken 100's of flights with no issue) inconvenienced i'm ok with that.

I've almost missed my flight due to security delays both legit and ridiculous, once had them search my bag for 10 minutes looking for something that was in an xray of a different bag by accident, had them unwrap a wedding present, its a pain but I survived and slept fine that night. Since I don't hear about these stories 5x a day I believe it's not an epidemic and we're all good.
