No. The same goes for the abuse of power by Dems. They can't just do anything they want. Legal standing should be a requirement. I don't like Trump, didn't vote for him, and would like to see him replaced with someone who will represent us better, but impeachment is unwarranted and is bad for the country.

    So when is it warranted?

Except there is nothing in the Mueller report that rises to the level of impeachment let alone removal.

Its not about impeachment. That is just a diversionary tactic. Its about the Trump hater wing of Democrat party once again foiled in their effort to use lower court judges to order Trump to release tax return information.

Foiled by temporary decision from US District Judge Morrison C. England Jr. ruling in favor of Trump administration , Thursday, Sept 19, 2019.

    https://www.latimes.com/california/...ax-returns-federal-court-challenge-california

So the most probable reason for the Democrat House members of the US Congress to embark on an impeachment "inquiry" is just another attempt at nullifying executive branch privilege granted by Article III, Separation of Powers clause of the US Constitution. The objective is to force Trump to release private information about himself, his private investments, etc. This of course also violates the 4th and 5th amendments of the US Constitution.

So you think asking a foreign leader for dirt on your political opponent should just be swept under the rug.

You mean like Sens. Durbin, Leahy and Menendez did last year, six months before the elections?

Well, to be honest, I don't think its really THAT stupid because they have backed themselves in a corner.

They literally don't have any other plays ....

They either pray to god that something .... ANYTHING is found in this impeachment or they are done. I think they now know, if nothing happens they are going to get absolutely slaughtered.

This is a hail mary play, if they hit it is likely their last chance. If they don't? Well, is there a difference in losing 3-1 vs 10-0 in politics?

I think Tusli Gabbard is going to "take the party back to sanity" rather quickly, we won't see a Republican empire unless the Progressives refuse to let go of the party

Not in the short term there isn't, which is why they will do whatever it takes to try, gotta commend them for that!

Are you now against using investigations as a political weapon?

We can't wait to vote out the Democrats but we will have to. They are too unstable.....the evidence is clears now, while it was just circumstantial in 2016.

No but can he do as Biden did and threaten the leader of a foreign country by withholding funds unless they took a domestic action that would benefit his son?

"Do you believe launching a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump for soliciting foreign interference in a US election is the right thing to do?"
    • 33% said "definitely yes."
    • 20% said "probably yes."
    • 15% said "probably not."
    • 18% said "definitely not."
That's a significant majority in favor of launching the investigation.

"What should the consequences be for a public official who encourages a foreign power to intervene in an upcoming domestic election in their favor?" before they were asked about more in-depth detail of the impeachment inquiry.

    The results were squarely unambiguous:
    • Merely 6% said "I do not think that warrants any action."
    • 11% said "I think the matter should be looked into but don't see any immediate issue."
    • 19% said "I think that merits investigation and possibly censure, penalties or discipline."
    • 49% said "I think that merits investigation and possibly removal from office."

It's in writing. He provided the documented proof himself.

Why didn't the DOJ investigate and charge anyone?

You seem to be one of the few who determined anything he said or did pressured Ukraine.

But of course, you'll believe that until the next thing that comes along that you're told to believe.

Hmmm...so Trump tweets Schiff is biased because he believes the "whistleblower's report" is both "second hand" and "credible." But, Trump forgets that his own DNI and IG believed the same thing. Are they also part of the Deep State?
