Presidential hopeful Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) called out her Democratic opponents for fundraising off of impeachment on Monday, accusing them of undermining the credibility of the inquiry.

"Candidates for POTUS who are fundraising off 'impeachment' are undermining credibility of inquiry in eyes of American people, further dividing our already fractured country," Gabbard said in a tweet. "Please stop. We need responsible, patriotic leaders who put the interests of our country before their own," she continued.

Kudo's to Tulsi for calling out the sleazy behavior of her fellow Democrats.

She is correct that it undermines the credibility of any "peach mint" inquiry.

Gabbard seems to have more integrity than the rest of the democrat clown car.

Thats too much truth! They can't handle it, Tulsi!

Its truly a shame the only D candidate with sense, class and integrity just gave up any hope of getting the D nom.

...not that much of a shame though, given shes also the only one with a shot at beating Trump :D

Keep it up Tulsi! Folks will remember in 2024.

Did The Hill publish this before the right wing noise machine boast about how much money the GOP raised off impeachment last week, or after?

And it was obviously after they promoted the Trump led Hunter Biden meme though thier mouthpiece John Soloman.

Are you trying to shame Trump supporters into supporting Trumps impeachment?

Trump and the GOP raised hella lots of money as a reaction to the impeachment threat.

If instead they had been the ones to start an impeachment inquiry to grandstand and raise funds, you might have a point, but.........

I hadn't thought of it in those terms. I am not really trying to convince
Actually, they did start it, but it wasn't the actual plan.

Guliani's appearance on Chris Cuomo's program was intended to serve as a means of injecting the Hunter Biden meme into the news cycle. Guliani and John Soloman had tried several times before, without much success.

But Guliani isn't too careful about what he says, and his act created more questions than it answered. His self contradiction on whether he asked the Ukranians to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden was the match that lit the fuse.[/QUOTE]

    Well! Not exactly.

But with Rudy, the law of unintended consequences is about the only law he seems to be practicing these days!

If Democrats want a clean defeat of Trump, this is their nominee. Bonus; conservatives are dissapointed, but basically ok with it.

CBS News Campaign Reporter Musadiq Bidar says Gabbard warned that if a Democrat wins in 2020, "Republicans will say, you know what, we don't like the results of that election, and we're going to find any reason whatsoever to impeach to undo the results of the election." Gabbard added it is essential the impeachment inquiry remain "very narrowly focused" on the issues raised by the intelligence community whistleblower in regards to Mr. Trump's July 25th phone call with the President of Ukraine.

"It needs to be done very quickly so that it doesn't turn into yet another partisan political weapon tool, talking point that will only further tear apart an already divided nation."

During the town hall, Gabbard told a crowd of about 50 people that those in Washington are very attached to labels but also "confused" about what box to put her in because she's "not in lock step with anybody." Gabbard wrapped up her 12th trip to Iowa where she held 25 campaign events during the month of September. She spent 14 days in Hawkeye State this month, the most time she has spent here since launching her campaign.

How much coverage will CBS News extend?
    Beyond some internet finding.

The establishment does not want her, so they will ignore her.

She will be at the next debate and I hope she's loaded for bear yet again.

Sounds like SOUR GRAPES from Tulsi, because her fundraising isn't going very good.

If the Trumpies love Tulsi so much, then they should Dump Trump in 2020 and donate Billions to Tulsi.

    Problem solved. :salute:

She makes a very fair point. I wish she was doing better in the polls, she's one of the few that isn't a nutcase.

But then again, Trump is fundraising and campaigning on it too, in between his predictions of civil wars that is. But then again again, it's probably not a good idea to mimic Donald Trump.

She is right, of course, but in this political environment here comments will generate a lot of hate. I hope she has a good security detail.

    Gabbard is a reform Democrat.
But "reform Democrat" is an oxymoron.
