Biden bragged about getting the Ukraine to fire a prosecutor that pretty much the entire West wanted fired.

Trump withheld Congressionally appropriated defense funds leading up to a meeting where he said that the relationship with the Ukraine wasn't reciprocal enough, he positioned the sell of arms as contingent on a favor, and he also repeatedly asked the Ukraine to work with his PERSONAL attorney on investigation meddling that said lawyer has admitted is for Trump's PERSONAL benefit.

 

Their involvement is under investigation, as is any Ukrainian involvement. They're also investigating all foreign and American involvement as to how the Russian hoax began.

 

There was no hoax. Th FBI, the CIA, NSC and the Mueller investigation concluded that the Russians interfered in the election. A number of indictments were made.

 

The investigation in to the 2016 corruption by Biden and Clinton in regards to Ukraine and the election was finished by Giuliani before the Mueller report was finished. That is what the dems are all upset about, that someone was investigating democrat corruption.

 

But there is a great deal more, including Russian and political involvement in the Steele Dossier, the FISA Court, the involvement of the FBI, CIA, and so on. The Mueller report, which went nowhere, is only a part of that.

 

And as everyone knows, the Russians, and other countries, have always tried to interfere in elections. This really needed a two year investigation??

The "Russian involvement in the Steele Dossier" was via Steele's contacts in Russia. Before he retired and began his own consulting business, he was head of the Russian desk at MI 6, the British equivalent of our CIA.
The "dossier" was written over a period of months and divided into 13 different reports (I'll assume you've read it). Steele never said it had been "verified," the process required to do so may have been well beyond his Fusion GPS budget. I suspect, but don't know, that the FBI discovered that the part of the dossier regarding Carter Page's visits to Moscow, while a member of the Trump campaign, coincided with other intelligence they had on the same issue, leading them to include it in their FISA surveillance warrant request. Trump was briefed on the dossier, at Trump Tower, in December 2016, following his election and prior to his inauguration. [The fact that the Clinton campaign paid for it, doesn't make it false...only perhaps more suspicious...but intelligence agencies live in those worlds wherein they have to make those sorts of judgments.]
The Mueller Report (I'll assume you've read that as well) was in two basic parts. Part I was a continuation of the existing FBI investigation into the links between the Russians and the Trump campaign (and there were many...over 100 separate contacts). Trump was NOT a target of that part of the investigation, at least under Comey's tenure. Comey told Trump that, I believe, some three different times. The second part, the possible obstruction of justice charges was added to the investigation following Comey's firing and Rosenstein's appointment of Mueller. Other than those now indicted and the on-going trials, there was insufficient evidence to justify further charges. The obstruction of justice investigation into Trump personally was dropped. It was dropped, based on my understanding of the report, on two grounds: 1) the investigation was incomplete; 2) there was no point in continuing it, given the DoJ policy prohibiting the indictment of a sitting President. Although there is an on-going trial (Roger Stone), Mueller had apparently run-out of any further investigatory leads (Manafort apparently changed his mind about cooperating). On the second point, the DoJ policy, Mueller could not change the policy; only his boss, AG Barr, could do that (or Congress), so he turned the decision on the obstruction charges over to Barr. [Note: This may be hard for Trump supporters to believe...but Mueller also determined that an on-going investigation without the end result being able to end in an indictment, would have been a violation of Trump's due process right to a "speedy trial," because as long as the DoJ policy remained in effect, Trump could not be tried until he left office.]
As a result...instead, Mueller "memorialized" the obstruction of justice possibilities he had discovered to date and turned the final decision over to Barr and/or Congress, should the latter decide to pursue either the change of DoJ policy or removal from office via impeachment and conviction.
And, that pretty much brings us to the present.
Oh yeah...Trump is now openly conducting a "counter-investigation," apparently with the end goal to be to disprove the election interference of the 2016 election...the conclusion reached by the FBI, CIA, NSC, DNI and the Mueller Report.

However you overlooked the lack of investigation in the Hillary Clinton case and the political corruption within the FBI, CIA and, quite probably, the DOJ. That's what's really being investigated by the IG, DOJ, John Durham and with the Australian, British, Ukrainian and Italian governments also providing assistance.
