It's the President's job to conduct foreign policy. If this is the best he can do, he deserves to be removed from office...NOW.

Honor and honest behavior and not letting one ally kill off another ally does not change with time.

They have our weapons and training. Go forth and do what you have to do. You think we should declare War on Turkey for the Kurds?

It's Congress' job to go to war.

So you think the POTUS should be removed from office if he doesn't attack Turkey huh?

Not in this case because Turkey is the one who initially attacked the Kurds so thatborovision of NATO is void.

So we're free to attack Turkey. You'd like the POTUS to attack a NATO country that hasn't attacked another country.

    "Kurds" isn't a country.

How brave of you...and you use the State flag of Texas as an avatar. Geez...what has happened to my home state? No...declaring war on Turkey should not be necessary...we just say "no" and we negotiate...after all, isn't the President the greatest deal maker of all time? Doesn't he hire only "the best?"

You may not realize this, but there are solutions between complete surrender and total victory. It was a foreign policy matter...but Pompeo is running around the world trying to find a way to disproof the Mueller Report.

So when the Turks start attacking the Kurds, what do we do besides get very cross and say "no" as per your previous plan?

Mueller has his own problems, having lied under oath.

    Commitment to whom?
Is there a signed document or a formal treaty? I’m a taxpayer in the US and I wasn’t aware someone committed this country to some kind of military alliance.

Looks like Trump just destabilized the whole area - just to protect his Trump Tower properties in Istanbul. His pile of self-indulgent crap just keeps growing.

“Peace at home, peace in the world” (Ataturk)

If US or EU had been had the problem that Turkey currently has, they wouldn't think even any second to war for security. If you want to peace, then you must fight against terrorist.

Also, I don’t think US betrayed The Kurdish just like Turkey didn’t betray The Mexican. Irrelevant territories, irrelevant countries...

Give peace a chance. Stop the war mongering. In fact-no mongering period.

He's back-tracking as we write...ten to one he blames it on Pelosi, saying that if it weren't for the Witch Hunt, he could think better.

In one fell swoop, Trump just took away the one thing that was keeping war from blowing up along the Turkey, Syrian, Iran border. All he had to do was keep a small US force on site to keep the Turks from indiscriminately bombing. They were just there as a deterrent. Two days later - war breaks out and Iran is moving troops toward the border. Trump is a moron.

If you are a tax payer in the US and especicially if you are a citizen you should know that we obviously are founding members of the NATO alliance which is bound by a treaty acted upon by Congress. Agreements do not have to be acted upon by Congress.

It was a peaceful deterrent. Just a few hundred troops had kept all out war from blowing up. Two days after Trump pulls them, we have thousands more refugees, and Iran moving troops toward the border. Trump was so worried about his Istanbul Trump Towers, that he he went against all his military advisors and pulled the plug on the one thing tamping down aggression. He's an idiot.
