Sure it does...they make it clear until the House actually opens up an inquiry they will not partake in what they are doing. Open up the inquiry and you will have participation.

Why not vote? What is Nancy and Shifty hiding? Why don't they want this process to be transparent?

The portion in bold does not imply, in the slightest, that they will suddenly have the portion in italics.

In the letter...the specifically say they will not participate in Shifty's Starr Chamber, they want an actual inquiry before participating.

Obstruction!!!!!....Obstruction!!!.....lol, everyone knows what their game is, good luck with that.

I'm also sure nobody has noticed how you avoid answering on why lying Schiff will not release testimony from last week. Do you think maybe it didn't go so well?

Sure it does.... I mean that doesn't mean they are gonna roll over and not assert the protections of the Constitution that Wilkins and it's line of cases highlight.

I would assume as a lawyer you would expect that of anyone facing the Govt

I still do not see you providing any justification for the logic that "we will not cooperate now" means that they "will cooperate after."

Because at that point there will be something to participate in....the letter is quite clear to that point.

    Thanks for the good luck.

And I think the testimony provided additional threads and pieces of evidence that are damning for the Trump administration. You have seen those damning pieces of evidence, right?

There is no obstruction unless they take a vote and the Republicans can defend. It's just more parliamentary parlor tricks. Without an inquiry vote the Republicans have no subpoena power. If Trump did something wrong, what are the Democrats worried about? The Truth coming out I would imagine.

Another big steaming scoop from an anonymous blog. :roflol:

Then you can surely quote the portion of the letter which "clearly" indicates that they will participate after the vote.

Sure it did, that's why the Republicans are calling for public release of the transcripts and Schiff is hiding them. Like Dan Crenshaw said "Democrats prefer narratives, not facts".

Republicans are grasping for any sort of defense. That's why they want to call for Volker's testimony while ignoring the fact that the White House refuses to let them hear from a different Ukrainian diplomat.

Considering all the “issues” they raise in the letter, I see no reason to think they’d comply even if there was a vote

So, they can vote to impeach him as soon as they get back. Why are they bothering to ask for testimony?

    Because...

They aren't going to impeach him. They're just going to keep putting on a show for the sake of their false narrative.

The question that I have is: Why are so many people, knowingly supporting this hoax?

I would say there is zero chance they don’t submit articles of impeachment.

Where they said they wouldn’t, unless there was a formal proceeding

I don’t see a commitment to participate. So all the other issues they raised don’t count?

We'll see. I think that it would be stupid. I think that they're better off with trying the case in the Fake News court of manufactured opinion.

    No. So what ?

Gowdy is on record about the Executive branch withholding documents and testimony.

    Try again.
