Energy production has been increasing for many years now and one very important factor is that shale oil and fracking had become economically feasible. Trump had just about zero to do with energy production increase. In fact Trump lied to the coal producers and coal workers promising them the return of coal jobs. What the BS Artist Trump either ignores or fails to understand is that demandir coal has been dropping world wide. You do know or should know that true energy independence will not be achieved unless and until we develop advanced alternative technologies. I say technologies because we should not just depend on only one type and we should not completely get rid of fossil fuel energy for a few hundred years yet. Trump's BS crap about getting rid of regulations is more fluff and Trumpien exaggeration and lies than any concrete or positive results.

Which includes defending trade routes and raw material sources. A strong Naval deterance force with a high number of carrier combat groups is essential.
