President Trump has made 13,435 false or misleading claims over 993 days

He has misinformed and misdirected people, sure, but this "database" is really doing the same thing. Browsing through the list it is clear that if Trump said it then it will be added if it cannot be verified to be absolutely true. There are also many opinions listed (Schiff is a disgrace to our country?,) these by their nature cannot be false unless you can prove that it is not his opinion. (BTW, Schiff is a disgrace.) As a breakdown, this is a big bit of left wing propaganda that does nothing except validate Trump's anti-establishment/media portrayal. If you want to bitch about Trump there is certainly fodder, but at the end of the day his political rivals are certainly no better.

 

Yes, Trump said that on the campaign trail. Guess what, he then actually talked to the border agents who told him that was a bad idea because they needed something that they could see through. He even admits this. That's not lying, that's changing ones mind. People are allowed to do that ya know.

As for Mexico paying for it, well, he did try and get them to pay for it. Guess what, he failed. That doesn't turn what he said turned into a lie. It simply means that he was wrong. Believe it or not people can be wrong without being liars.

And yes, if I had 3 years I'm sure I could point out how many of them are semantical nonsense or Trump just using hyperbole or exaggerating. People used to know the difference between those and a lie. Disclaimer before you say the inevitable: Yes, Trump does lie. But no more than any other politician.

 

Yeah, ever since WAPO started that "list" and people started using that to show how much Trump "lies" I've gone into each thread that I've seen it in and always looked at the first few examples and then easily proved just how wrong they were. Most of what they show are either obvious exaggerations by Trump, semantical nonsense like the one displayed here in this thread on the Wall, or opinions as you point out.

 

And then most Trump supporters will claim they never supported Trump. You don't see many former Nixon supporters praising Nixon.

 

None of his false statements rise to the level of the lies of dems like schiff .

I support Trump's substantive policies; everything else is secondary. I just don't see any need for me to reject or support or even talk about his inflammatory rhetoric be it honest or dishonest; in fact - if they help President Trump to achieve and move his (ours) agenda forward, more power to him.

Harry Reid? Familiar name. When talking about lies, he was the poltroon who lied in the well of the Senate over and over and over about Mitt Romney not paying taxes. After the election he admitted it was a lie, but said "he didn't win, did he?" Don't remember the WAPO calling him out when he was repeating this lie, so their track record isn't enough to make them reliable on the report in the OP.

 

Washington Post "fact checkers". Two years they lied to us over the Russia Collusion hoax. They lie to us every day about the "climate change" hoax. Don't think I will be relying on WAPO for checking anybody else's lies.

Well, since you are absolutely married to this one point, let's stick to it:

He continues to say that the wall as he envisioned it is being built. It is not. Not at all. This is a lie.
Parts of the existing barriers that were due for renovations are being renovated. These renovations were scheduled during (*gasp*) the Obama administration and some of them were even scheduled during the Bush 43 administration. That is not the same as new wall being built. Adults understand this easy to grasp information.

So, yeah, his statements about the wall are all big, fat, lies.

Hey Wapo! Now do Adam Schiff!!! You know, the guy who every day before the Mueller Report showed he was lying said there was direct credible evidence about collusion that he personally had seen? And don't forget he told us nobody from his office had ever talked to the "whistleblower". I guess WAPO worked on Trump's "lies" because they needed to practice for the larger project of Schiff's lies.

 

Congress authorized 700 miles of new and replacement wall back during the days before Democrats came out as open borders, pro criminal. It included re-construction of some segments that had fallen into disrepair. Neither Bush or Obama built any. Some of what they called the "fence" was just a 3 ft high vehicle barrier. They weren't serious. Trump's wall is an actual physical barrier to help stop the invasion of terrorists, drug dealer, criminals and moochers coming in to live off US taxpayers. Late, but getting serious. Also, those 17,000 Mexican troops, some of whom stopped a 2000 moocher caravan in southern Mexico, could be considered a part of the price of the wall they are paying for.
