Perhaps this will set legal precedent for legal consequences for those who push and benefit from conspiracy theories that cause real harm. Maybe Fox will adjust fire given this could now impact their bottom line.

Nah, I prefer it when the criminally dumb immortalize their stupidity in print. It’s a shrine that ensures they can never say it didn’t happen.
Have not followed this at all, how does this affect FOX. Are the one of the defendants? I personally think this sets a dangerous precedent. This most obviously happened and some idiot wants to say it didn't so what. You can't let stupid bother you.
You can if someone publishes a book claiming you faked your son's death as part of some conspiracy. You can if people who believe the conspiracy theory harass you, make death threats & place you in a situation where you feel that you have to move house & can't visit the grave of your murdered child. Lying or telling untruths about people isn't protected speech.
