I was saddened this morning to find out Rep. Cummings had passed away. The man was a hero in the fight for civil rights for blacks. As such he was an American hero. Perhaps that is why the Bigot-in-Chief hated him so. Cummings was the son of a sharecropper. He came from nothing to become a powerful committee chairman. He spent his life in pursuit of helping those who were victimized by discrimination. He tried to make America live up to its promise of greatness. In essence, he was the anti-Donald.
On his death bed, he was writing subpoenas for the Ukraine Temper tantrum. He died with his heart filled with slobbering hatred. Trump won that round ,,, was quite gracious ,,, sharp contrast with Cummings' last hours.
Republicans celebrate Cummings' passing because they know how honest and thorough he was. He was, in fact, an important player in bringing Trump to justice. But he already did his part. Today we have the Trump Administration confessing. And this is in part one of his accomplishments.
lol! Sorry to burst that little bubble, but Trump isn't going anywhere. As for Cummings, he was just another congressional democrat. Not quite as stupid as Waters, but close. He was so far out of his intellectual depth that he really should have spent the last ten years relaxing with a fishing rod near a lake with a cooler full of beer. He would have died a much happier man.
What nonsense! Elijah Cummings wasn't under investigation for anything. Not counting, of course, those who are investigating Obama to see if he was responsible for 9-11, of course.
