Not true. Both nominal GDP and Real GDP are higher. There have been times when a quarterly GDP growth rate has been negative, but usually that happens when the minimum wage is increased.

The Feds increased the minimum wage by
    13.4% on April 1, 1990, and
    11.8% on April 1, 1991
After George HW Bush vetoed the first attempt:

    and, perhaps, this
H.R.3744 - An Act to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to increase the minimum wage rate under that Act, and for other purposes.95th Congress (1977-1978)

    https://www.congress.gov/bill/95th-congress/house-bill/3744

    $2.30 - $2.65 January 1, 1978
    $2.65 - $2.90 January 1, 1979
    $2.90 - $3.10 January 1, 1980
    $3.10 - $3.35 January 1, 1981

The mother of all GDP drops occurred after this ,,, following Andrew Cuomo loading up the housing market with minimum wage earners

H.R.2206 - U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Care, Katrina Recovery, and Iraq Accountability Appropriations Act, 2007

Title VIII: Fair Minimum Wage and Tax Relief - Subtitle A: Fair Minimum Wage - Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007 - (Sec. 8102) Amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 to increase the federal minimum wage to: (1) $5.85 an hour on the 60th day after the enactment of this Act; (2) $6.55 an hour 12 months after that 60th day; and (3) $7.25 an hour 24 months after that 60th day. Makes such minimum wage increases applicable to American Samoa and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands on a different transitional basis.

If my employer stopped paying for my healthcare insurance with is $1965 per month. I would need a $11.42 per hour raise for my loss of income.

Yeah.... and getting Republicans elected is their typical way of doing that.

Warren promised to give all Americans healthcare. Not to make them less stupid.

What was the real GDP in 1950? What was the real GDP in 2018? GDP has decreased? I don't think so.

If you work for a living and your employer gives you health insurance, you by law currently pay into Medicare and your employer matches your contribution, you also receive a lower salary to reflect what your employer is paying to pay the premium for your health insurance. We should make it illegal for ANY MEMBER OF CONGRESS to become a lobbyist for any industry or business related to healthcare in any way, whether it be doctors, hospitals, drugs or medical devices or any other medical field.

Going by their fairness logic, lets talk about taxes for police and military. Should this be a flat fee or a flat tax rate? Well, they defend people's property and wealth so that would indicate a flat tax rate e.g. 2%. But they also defend people, and that would require a per head fee like $3,000 per year per person. Obviously defending people is worth more than property. So I guess we would have a flat tax rate for defense of property and a larger per head tax free every year. Just like with healthcare, there should be a per head or per family tax fee.

The whole point of police is to protect us from criminals.

Not being at my door doesn't mean they don't protect me. If I give them a call, they will be at my door in minutes.

They have no obligation to protect you.
The courts have ruled on this
