They all seem to follow the same pattern.
    Next is splitting hairs.

He did clear it up. He explained it three ways to sunday.

He even provided an example of how the US held up funding to the Triangle countries unless they did something about their citizens invading the US.

Prior to the reporters bogus attempt to inject the reference of quid pro quo to the discussion, Mulvaney went through an long explanation about money being sent to foreign countries without any checks and balances. Want to try and deny that?

No, I don't want to deny anything. I want to stick with Mulvaney confessing Trump tied the aid to dirt for the election.

Your media counts on that kind of thinking. You're welcome to stick to the lies you have bought.

Actually, what's funny is watching the Proglibs reference something they know nothing about, and just echo what they have been fed.

    They absolutely can be.

The investigation just can't be requested of a foreign govt by an incumbent POTUS into a potential nominee in the middle of that parties primary.

And honestly, doesn't the ever shifting arguments ever start to make you wonder about whether those presenting the arguments may just be throwing whatever they can against the wall to see what sticks??

So if everything is, then perhaps it's not best to request a reopening of an investigation into an opposing parties primary candidates son while said primary candidate is the front runner?? You know, especially if QPQs or anything that can be construed as "assistance" by a foreign govt is expressely illegal.

Seems like it might make a bit of a stink...

There is a reason for that - they all use the same sources for their talking points. The funny thing is that they think they are so clever all repeating the same stuff.

Trying to root out corruption is unethical? That sounds unAmerican.

Or it may only be unethical when members of the Democratic party are involved. That sounds more like what's happening in America.

Where did Mulvaney mention any 'Conspiracy Theory'? Is that your term or his?

Most of him is under the bus.

In a sign of how potentially damaging Mulvaney’s remarks were, Jay Sekulow, one of Trump’s personal attorneys, released a statement that said: “The President’s legal counsel was not involved in acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney’s press briefing.” Within the hour, Mulvaney issued his statement attempting to walk back what he’d said earlier.

Even before Sekulow issued his statement, a Justice Department official took issue with Mulvaney’s original remarks: “If the White House was withholding aid in regards to the cooperation of any investigation at the Department of Justice, that is news to us.”

But the Trumpets don't see it yet.

“Totally inexplicable,” said one GOP lawmaker, speaking on the condition of anonymity to be candid. “He literally said the thing the president and everyone else said did not happen.”

Any American can be a 'potential nominee'. That doesn't make any sense.

You may be incensed by what Mick Mulvaney said and call for more impeachments, etc. but the real corruption going on with the Ukraine involves the Democrats in the previous administration. That's why leftists are being asked to focus on other bright and shiny inconsequential objects rather than genuine corruption...

Letists just make it too easy for these crooks.

That’s the real issue here. Once the pee pee tapes are shown live on TMZ, it’s just a matter of time before deep State, soft coup, witch hunting Democrats make a BFD out of that. The question in my mind is, what law was broken by paying a Russian hooker or hookers to urinate on a hotel bed? Even if there was an anti urinating statute in Russia, no US laws have been broken. Trump is in the clear in my book.

Given that you're drawn more to cartoons than lengthy articles filled with a lot of big words, perhaps watching this may be easier.

Just kidding! I know you won't watch it because you're a leftist but perhaps others who want to know what's going on in their government will.

He didnt clarify his statement. He walked it back.

As for a sworn testimony, here is how that would go:

"Mr. Mulvaney, you were asked about quid pro quo by a reporter on Thursday. In response to being told that you were describing a quid pro quo, you said, 'We do that all the time, didnt you?'"

It is an abuse of power to request campaign assistance from a foreign government in the form of an investigation against a domestic political opponent while simultaneously and unilaterally holding up hundreds of millions in military aid and a requested meeting. It is also an obstruction of justice to try and hide, lie about, and actively obstruct the investigation.
