I am starting to wonder why these intruders went in.....knowing the occupants were home.

No need to get rid of guns. By the OP's logic we could just make murder illegal to stop it......no wait.

Not one thing can be stopped by making it illegal.

I'm in my recliner now with something tucked half way in the side. That's a stopper.

It's not uncommon, well for a crime anyway.

Lets just get rid of the laws that criminalize victimless activity.

Ban guns to make law abiding citizens practicing their rights of freedom into criminals. Laws passed that do not target the problem are stupid laws. The problem isn't guns, they have been around a very long time.

Actually their gun homicide rate is due near entirely to guns which are legal in Australia and which were not confiscated under the NFA.

Their MASS SHOOTING rate is mainly done with guns which are legal in much of the world without issue, but not Australia - but even then their deadliest ever school shooting was done with guns you can legally own as an Australian.

You can't deny the simple fact that if the victim had been armed, he would have had a better chance against armed home invaders.
So, yes, an adequate firearm would have made the victim safer.

Why can't gun banners grasp the the obvious reality that criminals don't obey laws?
