That it requires Mitch McConnell to use his Senate Majority status
and make a motion for a vote to Stop the current House Impeachment
Inquiry by declaring his Senate will not abide a trial at this stage.
This will then authorize the Parlimentarian to call for a vote that
would require at least 67 Yay's to stop Impeachment in it's tracks right
now.But McConnell could use The Nuclear Option to override the
authority of the Parlimentarian and instead use a simple majority of
51 Yay's.Thus demonstating how the other political party can also
flex their respective political muscle and clout.

 

That's interesting, and... well, McConell is not going to do that. He has his moments, but I don't think he's a true conservative. He would never do that.

 

That would, I believe, snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This impeachment farce, should the democrats go forward with it, will hand the 2020 election to the republicans on a golden platter.

The best way to end this impeachment is for the house to conclude their inquiry in a timely manner and for the senate to look at what the house digs up weigh all the evidence from both sides and take the action it deems appropriate given the evidence.
All of this should be concluded by the end of the year.

After that both sides need to shut the hell up and get back to doing the people's work.

While Levin is correct, they could do that I think it would be a mistake. They should take what is given to them and thoughtfully evaluate it. This will hurt the Democrats way more then preempting the investigation.

This is the guy who ran a casino into the ground and refused to pay off all his sub-contractors while he flies around in a private jet. this is the guy who ran a fake university and was sued for defrauding his students.

I think your assessment is correct. But sometimes principle is more important than election strategy. A political party and media led coup attempt to overthrow a duly elected president should not be allowed to stand it there is any way to stifle it.

was scoffed at.Slowly { took weeks and months } the talking heads
and pols decided Levin was right.In fact Mueller's pit bulls were banking on
selling the notion That Trump COULD be Indicted.

McConnell already made it known that his Senate is not
interested in taking up an Impeachment.Meaning his Senate
is not about to play ball wither these Crazy Dems who are making
up rules about Impeachment as they go.
Like how Instead of the House Judiciary Committee taking up the Impeachment
Inquiry it is the House Intelligence Commitment.

There was No Demanding of a Favor.Literally No Quid Pro Quo.
The Aid was not denied but suspended until further review
cleared the parties { Ukraine was one of The Most notoriously

The aid was merely held up until the review was acceptable.
