Why is Trump impervious to events swirling around him?

It is not the "lame street media" or leftists who are doing all the damage in the impeachment inquiry. The witnesses appearing before House committees are current and former White House employees.

Gee, you didn't know that? It is on all the networks, even Fox. Where do you get your news? From comic strips?

Since Trump's fateful and dishonorable decision on Oct. 5th to betray an important ally, hundreds have died and thousands have been forced to leave their homes

In a rally held in Texas, Trump's fourth rally in eight days during the humanitarian crisis in Syria, the sociopath said: "Sometimes you have to let them fight like two kids in a lot, you gotta let them fight, and then you pull them apart," comparing the slaughter in Syria to a schoolyard brawl.

As I said, Trump is begging to be impeached. He longs to be a daytime television star given the role by House Democrats if they embark on impeachment proceedings. Trump has nothing to worry about.

Republicans are offering their obligatory comments and are "horrified" at Trump's mindless decision to give Turkey all it wants while conceding nothing.

Mitch McConnell, a Republican from Kentucky, is majority leader of the U.S. Senate, wrote an Op/Ed in the Washington Post, dated today. He said, "Withdrawing U.S. forces from Syria is a grave strategic mistake. It will leave the American people and homeland less safe, embolden our enemies, and weaken important alliances, adding, "There is no substitute for American leadership. No other nation can match our capability to spearhead multinational campaigns that can defeat terrorists and help stabilize the region."

McConnell concluded by saying, "America’s wars will be “endless” only if America refuses to win them."

For the first time, I agree with McConnell, not that it will do any good.

Trump's good friend, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., refused to back down to Trump's criticism of him and warned that the conflict in Syria could be a "defining moment" for Trump. "I am looking for President Trump to change this. I will do anything I can to help him, but I will also become President Trump's worst nightmare," Graham said.

But Trump has nothing to worry about. The Trump Republicans will do what they always do -- nothing. They will say what is obvious for their constituents, then do nothing else ... guaranteed.

With McConnell and Graham in control, Trump can do whatever he wants, even strip the Senate of its Constitutional powers.

I beg to differ. Trump gives his malcontent detractors the middle finger every day. You have to agree they deserve it.

He’s already been caught, charged, and fined for keeping two sets of books. It’s unbelievably odd that Trump supporters don’t know a damn thing about Trump,

Read up on his first business deal with the city of New York.

Perhaps he isn't swayed by the tides of opinion, but he is definitely affected by them. Any dissent, and he commences a personal grudge match on twitter. And he has surrounded himself with yes people - people who will do his bidding and tow his line.

I've hated Trump since the 1980s for his role in killing the United States Football League (USFL).

But that doesn't mean I think he should be removed from office.

Huh? Do you have any idea what you are talking about? If you do, perhaps you could let us in on it. We can't read your mind.

His position is disintegrating so fast, it's probably incumbent on you to explain why he should stay in office.

To say Trump is incompetent is to say water is wet. Throughout his Presidency he replaces one controversy illustrating his incompetence with worse controversy illustrating his incompetence.

Where to begin? In 32 months there are so many. Let's begin with his disastrous trade war with China, which fortunately has not hurt our economy too much, no thanks to Trump. To illustrate the problem, currently the Dow is 281 points above where it was in January 2018. The stock market is standing still, and his trade war with no end in sight is a disaster while contrary to Republican Party principles.

Trump changed the subject from his disastrous trade war with China to his cowardly response to Iran capturing ships, mining ships, destroying the largest oil refinery in the world, and shooting down a very sophisticated American aircraft. Trump's response was meaningless economic sanctions. Trump seemed to have forgotten the fact that he caused the entire mess by removing the U.S. from a perfectly good working agreement that barred Iran from making a nuke.

As things got more serious with his handling of Iran, Trump began still another controversy to change the subject. He called a foreign power, asked them to interfere in our Presidential election by investigating one of his opponents and used bribery to get the foreign power to do what he wanted. This jacked up the impeachment charges against Trump.

But Trump didn't care. The mindless President quickly started a far worse controversy to remove the previous one from the front pages. He betrayed an important ally in the Middle East, an ally that had destroyed ISIS and curtailed Assad's monstrosities, and gave his friend, dictator Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, everything he wanted. This imbecilic decision caused him support of Republicans in Congress, and both McConnell and Graham have turned on him.

Trump hasn't replaced this disaster yet, but he will.

What could be worse than betraying an important ally in the fight against Islamic terrorism? I don't know, but we will find out. Trump will find something. He always does.

I get it. You are saying there is a great deal of animosity toward Trump from Trump's current and former employees, like say, Mulvaney.

You really think Trump is that bad, huh? I just didn't think a Trumpet would admit that.

Ultimately, the responsibility for the Trump Presidency lies with the failure of the RNC to "vet" him. Priebus was scared to death he'd run as an "independent" on his own money and pull another "Perot," who cost Bush Senior a second term and elected Bill Clinton. Priebus' trip to the Trump Tower to get Trump's signature on a pledge to run as a Republican was reminiscent of Chamberlain at Munich.

Trump is impervious to fictitious events. Only a handful of crazies with TDS think we should stay mired in ME conflicts, or that the impeachment theater is anything other than theater. Lefties are completley devoid of self awareness.

I'd say rather the opposite. He lives within his own bubble, largely ignorant of the outside world. And, while you could easily find a sizable majority of the electorate who want us out of the ME and its wars, you would not find many to support that by deserting the allies who helped us defeat a distinct threat to our national interests. Finally, his frustration with "impeachment theater" rests primarily with his inability to set the stage.

You believe this because you are in the small minority of people with TDS. People want out of the ME, period. They don't care whats going on there, or who is fighting what, because that's all they do there anyway. Allies and enemies over there shift with the seasons. It's a big CF that we are glad to wash our hands of.
Impeachment theater is theater to us all except the few with TDS. I don't know what you mean by setting the stage.

Of course you don't...and I won't try and explain it to you. More people voted against him than voted for him. So, I guess that means the majority of us have TDS.

You were doing well until the attempt to inject things I didn't say and assume things I wasn't thinking. But up to that point you were pretty much on target!

That's probably not true either if you you're referring to people that voted for Hillary. If you subtract illegal alien votes, dead people votes, and people that voted twice, then Hillary also lost the popular vote.

I can see that for myself. I said it before Trump did, actually.
