I think the title is a bit misleading, it should be Pro Gun Democrats, once liberalness takes hold of a human, reason becomes blurred and illogicial results occur.

True democrats on the other hand still maintain their ability to reason and be honest and love america and its traditional values and have the knowledge and fully realize the need to defend oneself and family from whitlows and other nefarious characters

    *sigh*

It’s like many conservatives can’t wrap their heads around the fact that the largest demographic of voters are those who belong to NEITHER party.

Lots of Independent voters own guns and are not trying to ban all guns while believing in climate change and don’t freak out if a gay couple gets married. The world isn’t just made up of voter A or B.

Exactly right. But for some reason, more so on silly sites like this, people have this need to label others as either A or B. Often times based on ONE comment. It's like I'm in middle school again with all the labeling.

That being true, you have to realize its a political site and its an "internet thing" you'd be foolish to expect this to be on the money realistically.
Everyone needs to view this as entertainment and sometimes an exchange of ideas, To take this seriously is well foolish.

    I am a registered independent

Well that's not fair. How are you all going to hate each other if you start applying more than one divisive binary label to yourselves?

See? So much valuable mental effort wasted on twisting reality around until there is a simplistically defined group of people to hate again. :(

And in your eyes only the repubs represent everything positive and your illogical conclusion leads you to believe that there are zero liberals in the GOP. Ok got it..You are dismissed from the adults table now..

It's because the internet and the media make it easy to classify people as one dimensional characters, like on a TV show. It would simply take too much time to stop and consider all the nuances of each individual and their personalities when having debates and arguments on the internet. So it is easier to just slap a label on them and infer all the rest of their beliefs, habits, and attitudes based on what is usually one or two singular details.

The internet has given us an unprecedented method of communication, but it's almost as if it's too much for us to handle, hence the need to simplify everything, including people.

I believe you 200% on that. Those voters exist but politicians under that bracket hardly ever run. It's either one extreme or another

I was a registered Independent for many years and only switch because my state, you could only vote in the primaries if you were of that party. That has recently changed and I need to change my affiliation once again.

It's interesting ... I used to be on the far Left and still have friends from that time ... in person, they are perfectly nice, reasonable people, believe it or not. (I'm talking about people who consider themselves Bolsheviks.)

I also have liberal (not far Left) friends whom I have made while travelling in America. Again, perfectly nice, reasonable people. We disagree on various things -- with my far Left friends, things like should the state (a "workers' state" of course, oh yes) own all of the economy, and -- I kid you not -- should ISIS be supported against the Kurds (admittedly, this is a minority view even on the far Left) --- with my liberal friends, things like would Hillary [God between us and evil!] have made a good President... but none of us have any desire to kill each other.

However, I think maybe it's because we're all old people or something and just don't have the energy to work up a good frothing screaming hatred anymore.

Anyway, I thought conservatives would find it interesting that there are liberals who like to burn through a few magazines at the shooting range. See how complicated the world is? (And, let's face it: male lefties are still males, and every male likes guns.)

And maybe some of you liberals will think again about gun control ... or even go out and buy yourself a nice AR15 and a few magazines and a good set of optics, in preparation for when us Rightwing neo-Nazi fascist white supremacists try to seize control of the gubment, or, rather consolidate our present hold of it under our infallible Fuhrer.

If you own guns and vote for Democrats, you have a wire crossed.

    Conservative hasn't changed.

If Bill Clinton ran his campaign from the 90's today, he'd be considered a conservative to the left. And a Nazi.

What if you own a gun, have voted for both Republicans and Democrats, and think both are full of crap?
