No, no, and no there was no Ukrainian dirt against Trump that came from Ukraine. Out 16-17 Intel againcies said that Russians where who interfered orcat least attempted to interfere.

The Ukrainians were nervous about what Trump had said about the Crimea in that he mistakenly said that it probably is historically Russian.
The Ukrainians ambassador to the US was looking for assurances that Trump continued to support the Budapest understanding that the sovereignty of Ukraine is guaranteed as per the Budapest agreement.

A history lesson on the Crimea: Ukrainians had occupied the Norther part of Crimea. The Southern part of the Crimea Scythians,the Greeks, the Mongols, and the Turks even Rumanians and Bulgarians drifted in there in very small numbers.

The Ukrainian Kozaks ( Cossacks in English) battled the Mongols then the Turks who were raiding into Ukraine andEastern Poland and Southern Russia. At times Ukrainians, Poles , and Russians took breaks from battling each other "allied" to battle the Turks. After the Turks were push out the Russians pushed into the Southern part and over the years spread like a malingnent cancer to more of the Crimea.

But that is then and when the Ukrainians gave up the Soviet Nukes for the agreement of Ukrainian sovergnty the U.K., the US, the Russia were the main signatories to the agreement. The whimsy French and the elusive Chinese added their two yen to the mix.

The Ukrainians had no means nor desire to take either Trump or Hillary they needed assurances that the US would still support them with aid while Russia was attacking. That aid was vital no matter if The Clinton Woman or Trump was POTUS.

Blamming Ukraine the government of Ukraine is a Russian/Putin idea that Putin planted into Trump's brain.

Were Some of the hackers be they Russians ( likely 90%) or pro-Russian scum actually sitting in Eastern Ukraine at a computer terminal doing evil? Sure ! Remember or learn that there are part of provinces or counties in Eastern Ukraine with a 5@% rate of Russian infestation. An additional 25%( or more) pro-Russian scum allied with Russians. In total the interference was based in Russia but some hackers could have been from Russian infested areas of Ukraine.

The Ukrainians were asking for assurances they did not have the capacity , the desire, or the stupidity go interfere in the US election process.
