Unemployment ties 50 year low of 3.5%, wage growth increases 3.1% against 2% inflation (if that much) from November to November.

Barack "those jobs aren't coming back" Obama looks for another Nobel Prize to acknowledge his accomplishment. Democrats plan more regulation to build on the success they take credit for.

Trump is working his magic on the economy. He's showing the inept politicians how it's done.

Since constant distraction hasn't been able to reduce the economy to the malaise of the last administration, impeachment and removal are the only answers. Only then can Obama be issued his second Nobel Prize.

Actually, I agree with you, Mitch.

We can get ALL those jobs back. All we have to do (apparently what American conservatives WANT to do) is to get American workers to stop being so greedy...and get them to work for $1.25 cents per hour.

It still would mean that some executives would lose some money...but, hell, they'd be willing to sacrifice a few hundred thousand if the American workers would just cooperate.

And all the jobs would be back here.

(Posted in black rather than green, because I think the sarcasm is rather obvious.)

I would take a job for $1.25 per hour rather than take food stamps or live in a section 8 home.

First, I might note that, as evidenced by the wage growth against inflation, people are doing better year over year. I have no opinion about executive salary or anyone's wages as long as everyone is paid in accordance with the value they provide to the bottom line. And then, I only care if I own equity in the company. Government can't improve the performance of individual companies. They can only screw up the economy. This can happen in a few ways. Government can pander to people who don't own equity, like employees who hae no skin in the game, and tax business investment out of existence. Government can impose regulations that prevent small business from entering an industry and end up keeping large players honest. Government can impose countrywide minimum wage hikes, currently called "living wage", with one shoe fits all mandates. These hikes end up putting out of business companies with employees that end up earning more than the value their labor adds and companies whose markets and location are in low cost of living areas.

I suggest you do what I did years ago. Take a company like McDonalds. You should be able to find out what the CEO earns and you know the revenue and profit that CEO is responsible for. Divide the salary by the revenue. Now take labor. Estimate how many happy meals an employee is responsible for producing per hour. Divide the labor rate by ( the number of happy meals * the price per happy meal). Now you can figure out the $'s of earnings / $'s of receipts. Report your findings back.

There is no good way to fairly compare tax rates for investors versus tax rates for employees with no skin in the game. If I tie up money to provide capital that supports business and jobs, I would expect the risk I take on and the value that risk provides to employees is worth something ,,, like the difference between the ordinary income rate and the long term capital gains rate.

Of course, people who break away earn far more than welfare + food stamps + Section 8 benefits. That's the point. Slaves went from working and not being allowed to vote to voting with a disincentive to work -- a slick move that also broke up black and other poor families.

And anyone who can read a graph can tell the "magic wand" is fake.

Yet manufacturing jobs did increase and worse for the democrats, wages increased mostly in the battleground states.

Notice the slight of hand: trying to replace overall jobs with only manufacturing jobs. We're manufacturing jobs rising or falling when Trump took office?

    Okay.

    Lots of words.

But...if the greedy American worker would just work for $1.25 per hour...and stop the nonsense of a 40 hour/5 day work week...we'd get all those jobs back.

I know you won't take anyone's word for it that does not attribute the last three years to Obama.

There are some important things to note. Xi, Pelosi, Democrats, and Trudeau were betting ,,, praying for the economy to crash ,,, with the media attacking confidence in the markets. Xi is going to have to return to the table. Neither Pelosi nor the Democrats have done a lick of work to improve the lives of Americans. While Trump created 266,000 jobs, Trudeau, who mocked Trump, lost 71,000 jobs for Canada.

Oh, and the media? The CNN audience has managed a 3 year low. Fox is up. MSNBC is down. Don't you hate when a dumb guy like Trump keeps winning and you keep losing.

When jobs were created on former president Obama's watch...people like you were saying that a president has very little influence over job creation.

    I agreed.

    Trump didn't create those jobs.

What he has done is to put the American economy $2 Trillion dollars further into debt...although he did promise to ELIMINATE the national debt in 8 years.

Trump is a fraud...and you are buying into his fraud.

I've stated multiple times that Obama shouldn't get the credit. Looking at global trends, not just US trends, and taking into consideration that the trend continued after he left office, I see little reason to give him credit. It is just that I can read a graph, which means I can't accept the superstition of the Trump economic miracle.

Rising since 2010. And we are now back to people not just believing that Trump has a magic wand, but that the magic wand lets him . . . time travel.

So you think Obama was lying when he said Trump couldn't do what he is now doing.

I've certainly accepted his presidency...right from the first day.

What is amazing is that some people actually see him as a decent president, rather than the ignorant, incompetent, classless boor that he is.

LOL. So, here's a guy, with all the cards stacked against him, the media, the elites, the intel agencies, trading partners who have exploited us, defense clients who haven't lifted a finger for decades, former Americans of the DemocratIC party, Obama judges from hell ,,, and he keeps on winning. Why don't I join my fellow deplorables in really caring that you are so consumed by hatred you can't open your eyes to see your glass half full.
