Everything they demand, they no longer want once they get it.
    No vote on the inquiry.
    Testimony not in public
    President can’t participate.

I can’t help wonder, if going to court to enforce subpoenas is next....

Completely expected... Cippilone's sent the same basic letter 3x now...

While the impeachment process is essentially equivalent to the indictment process in the criminal system, and you cannot fight indictments, you CAN fight being impeached.

So yesterday, Donald Trump just told America he's perfectly willing to be the 3rd impeached president in history without making one serious attempt to tell America why that shouldn't happen. I find that amazing.

I don't know what crazytime antics they have planned in the Senate trial, but it should be interesting.

I still don't see how a Senate can vote to acquit Trump for essentially denying an established power from the Senate...

Oh, I certainly don't... but this will likely be the first time they really have to VOTE for it... that should cause some basic thinking about the history of the institution.... I know there are a few GOP Senators capable of that action (thinking)

    Oh, for sure.

But, assuming the Dems stay solid, they would still need 20 GOP Senators to defect.

And, even if a handful vote to convict, I don't think that they can get to 20 GOP Defections.

Pelosi comes out and states that they are moving forward with Impeachment to move it to the Senate and Nadler calls more hearings.... Why? What is the point the evidence at this point does not matter... Dems are all in and have been for three ****ing years.. As the OP so wisely put it "****ing bitch ass morons"

The next hearing is aimed at obtaining testimony from the House Intelligence Committee legal counsel. It sets up for the House Intelligence Committee to then vote on the appropriate articles.

This is all happening at a blistering pace, but you want it to go even faster?

The Senate GOP is trying real hard to tamp down on the expectations of Trump and his internet legal team on what sort of testimony, and from whom, they will see.

Did you see the 2 funny things in that Trump tweet.

    1. = "Clean the swamp".. Don't you sort of have to drain it before you clean it?? Either way, Trump has proven to be the head swamp creature, so he's done with swamp metaphors..

    2. = Call Pelosi to testify?? Hello Donald?? Is there anybody in there?

I see no way that Mitch and Roberts will allow the WH to subpoena people with no bearing on this case. That includes anybody named Biden, Nancy and Schiff.

The case of the WB is a little harder, but I also believe he/she will not be required to testify. That is likely to be one of the biggest fight on the witness front.

Monday = Big day... Release of the IG report... I hope Horowitz puts together an Exec Summary!!

    Don't you mean Judiciary?

This is a fast pace... yet fully warranted when there is clear and (officially) uncontroverted evidence...

    Bravo House...

The democrats already announced their intention on Day 1 of Trump's presidency and that was to impeach him. Do you remember all the big mouths like Waters and Tlaib who said, for no reason at all and with nothing to accuse him of, that Trump should be impeached? Do you remember Pelosi telling Waters to knock it off and Waters was proudly defiant? So there is no defense when the outcome has already been determined, we'll just go to the Senate where the outcome has also been determined and when it's over, if you guys still have control of the congress, then you can start another impeachment.

Last week we had a member who just kept repeating over and over again that there's no such thing as a coincidence, was that you? Do you think it's a coincidence that all this is happening right as the IG's report is about to come out? I don't.

As a matter of ethics and ethical behavior, do you think all the people who have been calling for Trump's impeachment since day one should recuse themselves during any impeachment vote? I mean, the left does have ethics, right?

The chairman retains the ability to veto Republican witness requests.

And the Senate is not going to call Schiff, Biden, or Chalupa or whomever else you or trump believes should be the "real" target of the impeachment investigation.

    Enjoy.

I really doubt that there will be "another" impeachment.

    You're WRONG.

    Sorry.

    It IS a coincidence.

Everything isn't some sort of "Conspiracy".

    :roflol:

If the RW was so worried about this happening, then they should've done a better job at holding the House in the Midterms.

    Elections have consequences.
