    The trouble I had with Russians is that they don't smile. Americans smile a lot and it is disconcerting to be surrounded by such dour people.

    Not smiling is one of the quirks of their culture. Russians think they should only smile when they truly have something to smile about. I see the point. As opposed to other cultures like Americans that smile to your face but it's just fake.

    Speaking is one thing. I know since I've been to Kiev many times. But you seem to forget about the 42 ethnic Russians the Ukies burned to death in Odessa in 2014. Word travels fast when genocide is involved. The majority Russia areas of Ukraine decided to declare independence.....and I don't blame them one bit.

    That was an accident. The event that you described was not initiated by the government. And it happened after Crimea and the war started in the East. So, how can the event to be a justification for separatism when the event didn’t even happen yet?

    What "majority areas" of Ukraine declared independence. They're independent because vatnik servicemen are present there. Just like in Crimea. Pure propaganda BS.
