List of global coups and protests occurring in 2019 - Global unrest?

I wanted to get a list going and see if anyone else can connect the dots... feel free to add and explain your take on what looks like a very alarming, far reaching, global panic and wave of lawlessness. You know who the man of lawlessness is. And you know America will follow suit the same day Trump is ejected from office.

So... besides displaying the fact that you don't know what the word "coup" means for all to see.... What else is supposed to be the point of this thread?

I don’t see any reason to link all of these very different protests or events, most of which will be politically individual and focused on their own specific issues and complaints. It’s not as if it is anything new either, there is just the element of modern communications meaning they can be more apparent to the wider world. In the past, established authorities could largely cover-up even large scale protests within their borders and most people outside would know little or nothing about them. That simply isn’t the case today. A lot of the places in your list have had various unrest for decades or more, we’re just only hearing about it (at least in any detail and from all sides) recently.

 

Or how many ways in which it can manifest itself. It does not reflect global panic, it reflects global irritation at government and the increasing divide between the governing classes and the governed.

 

How can this be a singular global thing? How could the fact some Americans really hate Trump have anything to do with political disputes in Sudan, Hong Kong or Bolivia, especially given those issues long pre-date his entry in to politics. The only growing commonalities are the technologies used to both protest and report on protests. The individual underlying issues are no different to what they've always been.

 

you are looking at it wrong. Trump is the revolt, as was brexit, and Boris Johnson. This ridiculous impeachment crap is an attempted counter revolution.

 

Exactly. This impeachment will be successful, however, and will plunge the nation into civil war, we have weeks not months left.

 

Even if the phony impeachment thing gets the necessary votes there will be no conviction in the senate. We're still a long ways out and civil war is not even close to a necessity.

There will be no acquittal in the senate. The coup will happen before that phase can be reached. Trust me, there is no stopping this impeachment, and it's going to take the whole country down with with the removal of Trump.
