Clinton was found guilty of obstruction, suborning obstruction, perjury, and eight other offenses, Trump hasn't been found guilty of any.

In “things”? I’m gonna guess that’s not a quote lol
It had no part in starting the trump Russia probe, but it did in the page investigation.

That’s because his DOJ doesn’t beleive he can be investigated. Even said in court he could shoot someone and the cops can’t even detain him.

    Totally different.

Article II charged Clinton with attempting to obstruct justice in the Jones case by:[28]

    1. encouraging Lewinsky to file a false affidavit
    2. encouraging Lewinsky to give false testimony if and when she was called to testify
    3. concealing gifts he had given to Lewinsky that had been subpoenaed
    4. attempting to secure a job for Lewinsky to influence her testimony
    5. permitting his lawyer to make false statements characterizing Lewinsky's affidavit
    6. attempting to tamper with the possible testimony of his secretary Betty Currie
    7. making false and misleading statements to potential grand jury witnesses

There in no one they can call that can exonerate tRUMP, if they were to tell the truth. IMO.
    And IMO, they know it.

The burden of proof is on the Dems and they haven't come close to proving their case.

    The "Andrew Jackson Impeachment"?

    When WAS That?

Could you be referring to the Andrew JOHNSON Impeachment?

He was Acquitted by One Vote.:flagus:

Yes, a hyper partisan impeachment effort on very shaky grounds. Just like this one.

I don't see the need for a rehash of everything. The Senate already knows what it needs to know. I would give a Democratic senator an hour to speak for pro-removal and a Republican senator an hour to speak for acquittal.

    Then vote.

Correct, Trump can be impeached. It takes a Republican Senate to remove him or dismiss the House's charges.

I don't believe that there are more than three posters on all of PF who really think Trump is guilty of anything.

The Dems made up their minds about Trump the instant he won in 2016. 'Impeachment has begun' before he ever had a chance to do anything.

And I doubt its any different in the Senate.

What they're trying to decide is how many RINOs and Neocons they can count on to flip, and how many others they have enough dirt on to blackmail. Any trial will last just long enough to get that figured out.

You're right - the articles are completely different. Instead of attempting to falsify the testimony of two witnesses, it appears the articles against Trump state that he's attempted to block the testimony of nine witnesses and defy all subpoenas for documents. Oddly the articles do not mention anyone who chose to testify under subpoena despite being instructed not to by the WH.

He should have been removed from Office, just like he was disbarred.

They're extraordinarily relevant as to Trump's motive. And to the point of discovery of evidence(Schiff.) If the GOP Senate refuses to call any witnesses, then it's not even a "trial". It's a joke.

We already know what his motive was.....to get, from a foreign power and to do so leverage taxpayer dollars against that power, dirt on Biden and it is irrelevant whether there actually was dirt or not. The pathfinder to the evidence was the Whistle Blower. He pointed to where the evidence was found, as given by the various witnesses.

I agree, it will be a farce if Trump does not defend himself. That would be tantamount to a confession and making a mockery of the whole process.

    Exactly, MrT.

Everybody KNEW that those "witnesses" were a Complete Pipe Dream.

I am still wondering what the RW "Strategy" is going to be when Durham craps out.

    Gotta be Must-See TV. :salute:

After the Democrats only real witness 100% debunked the charges on Ukraine, there became zero need to call anyone. The case is lost for the Democrats.
