    Impeach him then....

    He will not be subpoenaed...

If he is, he can claim absolute immunity and the Senate can take it to the SCOTUS

And then see ya in 8 months...

He needs to be subpoenaed by the DOJ along with his son.

Joe Biden is a coward and would never appear anyway. His son is guilty of snorting coke, I often wonder if Joe is an addict or former addict as well. We know Obama was a drug user.

Yes if they are matters of executive privilege they can ignore and the Congress can choose to negotiate with the White House for testimony or take it to court to have in enforced. The Democrats choose to to say if you lawfully object to our subpoena then we will impeach your for that too.

Imagine it a prosecutor told you that if you are going to challenge a subpoena then we will charge you with obstruction of justice. Imagine the prosecutor not having to go before a judge to get that subpoena and then you not being able to file any challenge to it to protect your constitutional rights.

If they want the testimony, which obviously they don't, they can take it to the court with adjudicates between the branches.

And Schiff or Nadler can go to court to try and compel the testimony, they have chosen not to.

Bring it on... we'll laugh at your attempts to defend impeachment with that cheese...

Hunter Biden could say under oath he stole 2 billion dollars from Burisma/Ukraine and it changes nothing...

Joe Biden: I Will Not Comply with Senate Subpoena in Impeachment Trial

That’s fine, but you’ll have to comply with the federal subpoena in your son’s criminal trial.

I'd just issue warrants for their arrest, or is that not how those who defy subpoenas are dealt with in the USA?

    So what?

Who cares if someone is/was a "drug user"?

Who cares if somebody "snorted coke"?

Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.

Although, one would have to admit (that after the way that Trump and his cronies have stonewalled all requests for info), it seems comical that anybody from the RW would have a problem with not answering a subpoena.

    Pot meet Kettle. :salute:

Didn’t you criticize, heavily, Kavanaugh for liking beer? Didn’t you call him a bumbling drunk? Why the sudden change in perspective?

If Biden won't comply why in the hell should he be President? I wouldn't vote for the old senile crook if he was running against a space vampire zombie werewolf from the Andromeda Galaxy.

Exactly, and why I doubt if any witnesses are called during the Senate trial. Trump can be convinced that there is ample time to beat up Biden or dems left standing after he's acquitted or the senate dismisses it. He wants USMCA passed. The senate won't vote on it while the trial is taking up everyone's time.

Because it has a lot to do with that Ukraine call. Transparency, right?

That's not how it works, the court adjudicates disputes between branches.

You're question, or more precisely loaded question, would be relevant only if making a call to Ukraine was a crime.
Since the reason for the phone call was about Ukraine corruption fighting and that the Biden are linked to that, it's fair to call them up to an inquiry.
