The quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. I have heard of him lately but I am watching him now on MNF. Wow! This guy is the real deal...tonight. I say that (tonight) because QB's come and go for most teams but this guy is writing his next paycheck.

He'll get MVP for sure. Unfortunately for him, he won't win the SB.

Right now I don't see anyone beating the Ravens.

There are two types of teams. Teams that do really well in the regular season, and teams that do really well in the post season. We'll see how they handle the pressure.

Remember Cam Newton's 15-1 season? Granted, Denver's D was one of the best I'd ever seen...but still

I'm not worried about that with the Ravens, and this time last year I said I didn't see anyone beating the Patriots and we all know how that worked out.

In the meantime, I'm interested to see how the teams finish the season and who gets home field advantage, especially in the NFC.

This is the time of year where late injuries also screw over a team.

Sure do, and I remember Tom Brady's 16-0 season, too. As for that Denver D

What impresses me about the Ravens is how well they are running the ball and controlling the clock, and their defense has been playing pretty well, too. I saw the same things in the Pats late last year, too. While there's no comparing Lamarvelous and the GOAT, I see a lot of striking similarities in those two teams.

So, true, especially at QB. The Saints appear to be the only contender that has a competent backup.

I like the Saints to win the NFC at this point (barely).

Do you believe Lamar Jackson and his run-style Offense is sustainable in future seasons?

Unless the Pats beg for Antonio Brown to come back and sign with them, they have no shot against a healthy Ravens team who now has control of home field in the AFC.

I am undecided between Seattle & San Francisco in the NFC. If Seattle gets home field, they may win the NFC. Saints will need to keep home field away from them to have a chance, IMO.

I'm rooting for the Saints but I think they're going to need home field advantage to make it to the Super Bowl. As you know they're a bunch of hot house flowers - they'll wilt if they have to play outside on a slow grass track in cold, crappy conditions (hello Seattle).

Nope, and I bet you don't either. I figure the Ravens can milk it for the remainder of this season and maybe next year, but that's pushing their luck. I like their power running game with Ingram and Edwards but I think they need to pick up a halfback like Alvin Kamara or Christian McCaffrey to take the load off of Jackson. That should also give him and the offense more options in the passing game.

McCaffrey is TOUGH, but he's also getting so much work in the tackles that he's not sustainable IMO. Reminds me of a bigger Danny Woodhead.

You get that kind of workload against the big guys you're due for a licking

I like Seattle if they get Home Field.

Jackson and Wilson would be a great QB matchup in the SB.

Yeah, they're going to wear him out but it's great to see McCaffrey paying up to his potential - he's already close to 2000 total yards for the season.

I wonder who's going to be their QB next season. Newton's salary cap number is through the roof...

Week 14 is in the books - my winners and losers:

    Winners

49ers retake the #1 seed in the NFC, but their much-hyped defense coughed up 46 points

Titans are on a roll winning their 4th straight to tie Texans in AFC South (Houston has 1 game edge in division and conference tie-breakers); Titans have Texans at home in Nashville this weekend

Chiefs break Patriots 21-game home winning streak in upset win marred by bad officiating

Broncos may have found their franchise QB in rookie Drew Lock

    Losers

Seahawks lose ugly against the Rams and cough up NFC West lead

Texans get embarrassed by the Broncos and have to face a tough Titans team twice in the next three weeks (this week in Nashville, at home in Houston for the season finale)

Saints may have blown shot at Super Bowl with loss at home to 49ers

Bills fail to prove they're contenders in home loss against the Ravens

Patriots have lost to every division leader in the AFC and their WR corps is awful outside Julian Edelman

ESPN with horrible Giants vs. Eagles MNF matchup

I hate the bills just as much as the next guy, but I completely disagree with your assessment. If the Ravens are one of the best teams in the league and the Bills pulled 2 point trickery to make it a one possession game...how have they shown they aren't contenders?

The Bills could still win the AFC East if they beat the Patriots next time.

And I agree with your take.

Why would anyone think that they aren't contenders?

Sunday Night is going to tell us a lot.
