And the damnable thing about it is no one is asking anybody to give up even CLOSE to what you all seem to think is being "demanded". No one is saying we have to stop driving, just use more efficient cars, no one is saying we have to freeze in winter, just have better-insulated houses. If I remember correctly Americans used to be proud of making efficient things, now it's somehow seen as unpatriotic not be wasteful. And finally, AGW notwithstanding ENTIRELY we should still use less oil and coal just so we'll be able to BREATHE.

I agree. Children should not be attacked. The poor kid is being abused and used as a propaganda tool by radical adults. She's not only an example of the "green" movement. She's an example of how children are being indoctrinated and scared to death by an unproven science and used by extremists to further their cause. It really is a shame. Kids should not grow up believing the world is going to end in 12 years and be terrified out of their wits. It's a shame. Some of the most recent photos I've seen of her look like she's losing weight and is not in good health.

 

I feel sorry for Greta. I feel she has been indoctrinated and brainwashed by her parents and used as their pawn due to her autism. I find it kind of funny that the scientific community begs for help from politicians, all the meanwhile they can self-fund their own research. If it's that important, they'll find a way to do it.
