    The general who uphold the conviction served in the war zones of Iraq and Afghanistan.

    afaik the discussion is focused on the military and combat soldiers.

    When you are ordered to crawl out 100 meters and kill anything that moves you kill the first thing that moves. When your superior orders you to kill someone you do just that. When you sense you are in danger better him die than you.

    Those that testified against him were newbs and didn't like him. They were probably pansy millennials that played video games and found themselves where they didn't belong. The pardon is justified.

    If you don't want our troops to be "war criminals" then stop sending them around the world to kill people that you claim are our enemies. PODS trump was 100% right to pardon the soldier.
