A kid on a bus wearing a MAGA hat is pounced on by 5 people BECAUSE he's wearing a MAGA hat. They violently assaulted the kid because he was wearing something the other 5 kids hated. How is this not a hate crime?

I know I'll be told politics isn't protected under the hate crime laws, but why not? Politics is a belief system just as much as any religion, so why isn't it protected? What I've noticed about hate crime laws is that they seem to protect people who generally lean left and work against people who lean right.

Watch the video at the link, read the story and be prepared to be upset. If you dig into the story you'll see ethnicity played a part in all this - but it's not a hate crime.

I believe the kid's parents have a lucrative law suit against the school, the bus company, the thugs and/or their parents.

I'm waiting for the day when a case of "polar bear hunting" a CCW holder goes very wrong.

I lived in the NYC area when that happened and a lot of people were on his side and cheered him. Of course the people he shot made his actions politically incorrect.

Of course they did. Trayvon and Michael Brown would've been mere blips on the radar, like most black on black homicide, if it weren't for the race hustling agitators.

Those animals were kids who are probably too uneducated to know the issues pertaining to Trump. So my guess is they were either taught to violently hate him and his supporters by their parents, their teachers or both.

Something progressives don't seem to understand is that they're encouraging this sort of thing by constantly dragging whites through the mud. They also don't seem to understand that they're the greatest recruitment tool that white supremacists have ever had.

It also goes to show that they only care about applying the law in certain circumstances instead of evenly across the board. same goes for the media. The media has been egging this on for a long time.

It's primarily the MSM, academia, and of course virtue signalling progressive politicians coupled with their thinnly veiled racist non-white counterparts.

I wonder if a kid wearing “hope and change” hat has ever been assaulted by 5 people hating it?

Apparently they poured milk on the kid as well.

    Seems like a hate crime.

That was disturbing. On all levels. The parents of those children should be ashamed, but then they raised them in the first place. And don't give me the "I didn't raise them to be like that" BS, because you clearly did. If parents were charged with a crime like their kid, how much of this nonsense would stop?

this is why political propaganda should not be allowed in our schools from either side - it disrupts the school environment and put children at risk

Well technically, but not of the variety that blacks commit on one another wholesale.

Whether it's classified as a hate crime or not it's extreme violence fuelled by hate. Parents need to be held responsible for really violent acts like this because kids only learn this sort of hate in the home.

The problem here isn't a hat.

Its the monsters who think its ok to attack like a wolf pack because of it.

I personally thought it was involuntary manslaughter given the evidence, but the State overcharged. I hope we're apprised of these charges but the only way that happens is if they're charged as adults, which they should be.

This to me would qualify as felony assault and battery, and given that they rammed the kid's head to the window, I'd say that qualifies as assault with a deadly weapon. You could even argue attempted murder(I mean, the head is a fragile part of the body), but that falls under the "overcharge" category lol. But these brats deserve the kitchen sink thrown at them and their lives never the same.
