By the way where is Darya Pishchalnikova now, is she still alive. The last time I heard from her is that she was banned to compete by RusAF for 10 years.

Russia is filled with nasty cheaters, but in a weird way I like the Olympics with them included. They’re the bad guys, which adds drama.

The best moment in Olympic history was the 1980 Winter Olympic gold medal win of the U.S. hockey team.

This one definitely went down in history as one of the most unexpected.

I’d forgotten that one. Hysterical! To “do a Bradbury” is in the Aust lexicon now.

I guess you can say that if a nation systematically cheats, on such
high levels, then it's the responsibility of the govt.. If there was govt
oversight there would be less cheating - this is not the case so there's
good ground to suspect cheating goes all the way to Putin - who
cheats himself, particularly with elections and opposition groups.

That’s the Russian way of thinking - you cheat and bribe because you believe everyone cheats and bribes. That’s their mentality.

which nation? and who to decide what nation to be designated as cheats? who are the judges? are they clean themselves? are they incorrupt enough to pass judgement like this?

In this case, Russia. They were banned by the World Anti Doping Agency.
I suspect they are incorrupt enough to pass judgment - it's their job.

that is, by the Holy Inquisition of today, let's call things their names.
i suspect they're not and their job is to persecute the innocent.

If you really want to call things with their names then you should use World Anitdoping Agency.

Their job is to ensure fairness.
Believe it or not, there are athletes, and people in general, who live outside of Russia and who don’t cheat and bribe.
I know, must be a shock to a Russian.

might as well cite the Malleus Maleficarum, yeah.
    already mentioned.
yeah, as a mafia, which those Wada officials really are, would see it.
sure, but not in world level sports.

Systematic fraud, sanctioned, supported and done by the Russian Sports Organizations.
In Sochi, and banned for it. Did not learn from it and got caught again.
    Criminal bunch.
St. Petersburg should be kicked out of the football European championship.

So, in a toss between Putin's government and a Western anti-doping
    agency, you believe the Russians?
Can you give example of corruption within the anti-doping agency?
There a ton of material on Putin's corruption.

Systematic does not mean every athlete. Systematic doping began under the umbrella of the USSR and led to the current anti doping agencies but.since its break up Russian state intervention is far less encompassing. But they have been doing it for so long they just can't leg go.and it will continue. A total sport embargo would be interesting. It would surely upset 'sporty' Putin .

    Don't give a sh*t at all.
Let the Olympics be a game for people suffering of asthma, attention deficit disorder and other deseases and deviations.
Watching the competitions of sick, unhealthy people, equipped with a big pile of "therapeutic exceptions" is not a good idea.

Actually after thinking about this if the Olympics committee is gonna let fake women compete as women, then they must allow drugged up Russians compete.

    No difference between the two.

When politics are involved to trust any agency is being naive.

The actual mafia of this topic are the Russian anti dope officials. They fail to produce the evidence of the whereabouts of their athletes and or provide records that have been tempered with. Hence the curtain closes for Russia, and not for a country like China.

Russian illegality in almost everything they do on the world stage is being challenged on multiple fronts in an attempt to send a message. Unfortunately Sanction and pressures internationally will not and have not had any effect thus far and no one wants to provoke an unstable, pissed off bear that has a history of killing for personal reasons.
