Yes, Iran backed, understand....BACKED, mitita killed 600+ but consider the US backed Shah killed thousands of Iranians. Not our oil refinery. Not our oil tankers. BACKED Iraqi's attacked the embassy (no deaths), not our city, not our country.

However, the Iraq War is not the issue of this thread. I know you would dearly love to change the subject. Trump has made a complete fool of himself while, at the same time, creating a threat to our national security.

 

Eh, that was for public consumption. The diplomatic message sent to Iran is that the Ayatollah will be the first strike.

 

1) Iran will not be a pushover like Iraq.
2) Desert Storm created a momentary reprieve and if anything it would be the same with Iran. On the long-term, they'd gain more international sympathy and would resurface stronger and with a more fervent civilian population within 5 years.

 

On what basis are you making this declaration? What makes you summarily declare Iran tougher militarily than Iraq? Are you aware that Iraq and Iran had an almost decade long war that resulted in an absolute draw?

 

You're relying on logic to make your argument. Trump supporters won't get it.
