I don't need to go to the VFW, I know plenty of military contractors personally, and none of them are a "merc." On this subject, you don't know what you are talking about.

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/u-s-contractor-whose-killing-iraq-was-cited-trump-was-n1112266

U.S. contractor whose killing in Iraq was cited by Trump was linguist with 2 young sons
Nawres Hamid, 33, a naturalized American citizen who emigrated from Iraq and lived in Sacramento with his family, was killed in a rocket attack in Iraq on Dec. 27.

How ironic. Humpty Trumpty used the death of someone he would've blocked from even entering the country as justification for his extra-judicial assassination... [IMG]

John Kerry's son is Iranian... of course he's going to be pro Iranian. Besides Iran's nuclear program will be up and running within a matter of months... how did Obama stop this program if it's practically up and running

That's a lie. John Kerry doesn't even have a son, he has two daughters, so retract your lie.

I'm a nurse, I've worked with doctors from 'Persia', my husband has worked with a man from Iran. Does that make me or my husband sympathetic to Iran? That's just stupid to believe anything that implies that because John Kerry's son in law is of Iranian heritage that he's pro-Iranian. That's absolutely ludicrous.

 so we've gone from "you liar it's not true" to "ok it's true but it really doesn't matter"

oh it matters... a lot, he should never have been negotiating that deal to begin with... he was not objective... how could he have been

No, it has gone from you not admitting your mistake, to this, which is nothing. Your ridiculous babble about John Kerry not being fair because his son in law is from Iran is just totally mind-blowing ignorant.

It is still ad hom fallacy - attack the message and not the messenger - claiming otherwise is "absolutely ludicrous".

So what was the role of this particular contractor - that detail is not "top secret" - a generic answer gives zero away - to a question like "was he acting in a military capacity or not"

This is relevant only - if one assumes that Trumps " We did it because he killed a contractor" claim is valid/ legitimate to begin with.

Does some contractor working in a conflict zone - getting killed - justify going after the diplomats of a foreign nation - that in some way had something to do with this fellows death.

Even if we ignore the problems - details of level of involvement of this General - and evidence that he was involved at all - has been with-held - from a closed door session of congress.

Even if we assume our intelligence community does not lie on a regular basis, spew false narratives and propaganda and conduct false flags - most of which they are horribly guilty with respect to Syria/Iraq/Iran - the false flag accusation being in the highly likely (barely passing the giggle test) category but not defacto proven like the rest.

Even if we ignore all of the above - the idea that this is a legitimate claim is still preposterous.

We preach to the world about "rules based order" - following international law .. and so on. That you don't assassinate another nations diplomats - even if you are at war with them - And we are not, at least not formally (both sides are engaged in dirty deeds in various conflict zones - and sometimes come into conflict with each other on this basis) - has existed for millennia.

But hey - if we are going to throw out that rule - how many of our Generals would then be legitimate targets - many of them having done far worse than anything this guy has done.

I don't like this at all - this rule has existed for millennia for a reason. We don't want our Generals having to look over their backs their entire lives - not be able to travel without being at risk -and so on.

    Trump is an idiot.

How many Americans are needed to be killed for you to say enough?

How many lawyers does it take to screw in a lightbulb - How many radical Islamist terrorists - being armed and supported by our Gov't - are needed for you to say enough ?

And if our Gov't is sending our soldiers into such conditions - and they get killed by people fighting those radical Islamist terrorists - that is on the head of the people who sent them there.

Now instead of asking inane questions - address the points made in my post.

If it's that 2019 K-1 Air Base Attack then the casualty is Nawres Waleed Hamid from Sacramento CA, but eliminating soleimani will not halt the atrocities, The problem is Iran and the sanctions imposed, this country can produce and unending array of soleimani's if they wish to, there should be a truce and peace talks and concessions not senseless attacks on dispensable individuals. An invasion is not an option so many things learned during Iraq war where it was so costly and creates a lot of mess.

Well the US killed about 25 Iranians for this one man's life so I think you have that the wrong way round. That was why they came into your embassy, protested, but killed no one. Of course for those who rule the US then it was really getting into the terrorism both in Iran and Yemen though Yemen was not successful.

which is the very reason people wanted to get a deal going with Iran to stop it. Had the US not thrown it in the bin and brought themselves to the brink of war with Iran, the intention was that as time went by and relations grew both economic and other, other issues would be resolved. Again it was because Iran was so near having a nuke, or they believed it was that they made the deal - a deal which was 12 years in the making. The US is the one which has acted badly giving up on a UN deal which had the support of the main countries in the world and not only that then trying to destroy the people of Iran, particularly the most sick and poor with the inhumanity of sanctions. So far Iran has continued to go by the deal. (Its actions are part of the deal to be done if a country acts like the US has acted) Iran has acted quite sanely. It is the US which is showing signs of insanity.

We have 1 American killed and 25 Iranians killed in response - though I think these people were Iraqi, part of the Iraq army. Then we have the US acting as terrorists killing a General and trying to kill another in Yemen. While killing the Iranian General and another member of Parliament you also killed several other people. You also killed more after that. On about Tuesday I learned you had already killed at least 40 people for this one American killed so where the hell you get what you are arguing I do not know. Just how many people do you want killed for this one contractor?

The General is responsible for killing 100's of Americans and was causing trouble throughout the ME. Of course you think killing a terrorist is terrorist activity. You must be a liberal.
