Pelosi: House will move to transmit impeachment articles next week

"House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Friday that she will take steps next week to send impeachment articles to the Senate, after delaying the process since last month in a bid to extract favorable terms in a trial.

“I have asked Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler to be prepared to bring to the Floor next week a resolution to appoint managers and transmit articles of impeachment to the Senate. I will be consulting with you at our Tuesday House Democratic Caucus meeting on how we proceed further,” Pelosi, D-Calif., wrote in a letter to colleagues."

Nancy blinks. She choked. She gave in. McConnell told her to stuff her demands and won. Now the impeachment will move forward with the same rules as Clinton's 1999 impeachment, as McConnell has been saying for more than a week now.

 

Curious what she means by proceed further once she forwards the articles its out of her hands.

The articles of impeachment dont mention broken laws at all!

 

Might as well get it over with — we all know where this goes — the senate has heard 15 trials and each time they have called and allowed witnesses. The republicans have ignored their constitutional duties. May the public remember this come election day.

 

I think what the public will remember is how corrupt the congress hearings were, Schiff staight up lying about the transcript and millions of tax payer dollars blown on hoaxes...good luck with that though

If that was the case his approval numbers would have moved from the -8% he has been at for virtually his entire term in office.

It will be interesting what his numbers do when his tax returns are released plus the sexual harassment lawsuit that was just allowed to continue.
Along with the debates — if he is man enough to do them — if they resemble his recent interviews... he is done.

Along with theft from his charity and the dozen or more scandals he will likely have before November... Y'all are backing a winner!

My understanding is that they will follow the same Senate rules afforded by Clinton. Is that not good enough for you?

Democrats collided and strategized with Clinton prior to the trial? They refused all witnesses? And all evidence?

 

You must be referring to the house trial for Trump as that is EXACTLY what happened to the republicans.

Wait, didn't The House refuse witnesses that the Republicans wanted to call? Was that a bad thing then or is it just a bad thing now?

McConnell didn't refuse to let witnesses testify, as the left so dishonestly claims.

“We haven't ruled out witnesses,” McConnell said Monday in an interview with “Fox and Friends.” "We've said let's handle this case just like we did with President Clinton. Fair is fair."

She can try but once she's sent the articles and the senate has started she is pretty much locked in unless she wants to do a separate impeachment, which would work out great for the right.
