It's hard enough for many commoners to marry into a family that wont accept the new in-law into the fold. Cant imagine the Royals would be any easier with their expected schedules, expectations and obligations. Purely opinion

Well to clear up any confusion I'll repost a comment I made on the very first page.

Do you believe he plans on pursuing the career of chopper pilot in Canada or joining the Canadian armed services? I have heard that the bill for protecting the couple may fall to the Canadian taxpayers. They currently pay for visiting dignitaries but if they live in Canada will taxpayers have to continue footing the bill?

I am not a Royal watcher, and don't really care what any of them do. But, I believe Harry and Meghan should be allowed to live their lives any way they choose. I'm sure that's what Diana would want.

 

Because he was told to. He was first in line for crown, and that comes with immense baggage. He had no option but to marry someone from similar background, who was a virgin, and a Brit, etc. Very difficult things to obtain in one adult female, so they took what was available on THOSE criteria. Was all arranged, and I'm sure you know that.

 

OK. So, Harry isn't as close to being King as Charles was or as William is. So, why can't he marry whoever he loves and live the way he wants to live?
