    First off, newspapers are not the public record.

    Second, I don't think those papers outright accuse these people of being sex abusers,rapists and harassers without throwing an 'alleged' or 'accused' in front. Their legal dept.'s would stop that due to the libel laws.

    In fact, newspapers are part of the public record.

A newspaper of record may also be a publicly available newspaper that has been authorised or maintained by a government to publish public or legal notices, and therefore serves as a "newspaper of public record".[1] Wiki

    #MeToo is all about granting the accuser more credibility than the accused. Do you have a problem with that?

    Should we presume Weinstein to be innocent?
