    A major reason why some people lower their standards of behavior is because leadership is doing it, making it seem acceptable. Just as we saw Maxine Waters encourage stuff like the incident at a restaurant attacking republican employees and encouraged people to act badly anywhere towards those they disagreed with- all the hate they bring to politics rubs off on everyday conduct. The video below is people at a mall restaurant, where someone decided the portions served were too small, and several people decided to turn that into something deserving violence. This does not have a traceable direct link to the behavior of the left- it's just a mirror, showing us how such conduct breeds more of the same everywhere.

    Americans are either dimly aware or unaware of the people and events you mention. Conversely, Americans are keenly aware of the constant lying and illegal actions of the Trump administration. The amount of corruption uncovered (mostly, but not exclusively by the right) by all the investigations is breathtaking.

    They are also aware of gun violence, Neo Nazi groups, illegal drugs, and a host of irreligious libertine behavior so visible in our public square. Challenge - Ask your friends or folks on the street, "Would you encourage your kids to adopt the behavior of Donald Trump?"

    I would recommend that over what the democratic leadership is doing right now, without hesitation.
    There is a difference between a street-fighter and bushwackers with no morality or code of ethics at all. Trump is a street-fighter.

    What are you talking about? This was a Japanese restaurant. This kind of behavior is highly encouraged in the Japanese culture when you don’t get your way.

    But it's happening everywhere- outrage over things that won't matter at all the next day.
    And if you read up on it a little, or have a good friend living in Japan (I do; he's half American) you would know better. Japan is considered to be the worlds politest country.
    That's also way they have 7 lawyers per 100,000 people, and we have 287. They understand the value of respecting each other and being reasonable. We don't.

    That's true, but they also have tempers that can explode suddenly when they feel someone has in some way insulted them. The belief in mutual respect is based on the probability of that sudden eruption of temper.

    Sadly, we live in a time when division is a socially engineered strategy for things like media and politics. I honestly think most of our differences originate in how the world is presented to us and what kind of language we use to describe it.

    Unfortunately, we’re learning just how much the country misses the Jerry Springer show.

    I do believe networks should follow our content rating system when airing the President. He definitely should not be aired live to allow current technology to function for families that do utilize v-chip to determine what content enters their home.

    Here’s a thought how about we apply a new “L” rating to political discourse in general: “L”, “L-13”, “LX”.

    I believe the notion has some potential for a social comment comedy piece.

    Bottom line is our culture- and our upbringing, and our self-respect. People who have control of themselves build self-respect and live by values they honor. People who don't act like spoiled brats.

    I would be difficult to find a better sentiment to describe the hatred that Trump loyalists harbor for the rest of us. Trump and his follower's discourse drip with venomous hatred for those contrary to their philosophy of street fighting and personal attack. Morality? Thy name is not Trump.
