I didn't mention phase 1 of the China deal. Nice diversion however. I am talking about my 401k and the lowest unemployment level in over 50 years. I am talking about what Obama said:

"During a PBS town hall that aired Wednesday, Obama referenced Trump's promise to bring back jobs to the United States when talking about manufacturing.

“Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What exactly are you going to do? There’s no answer to it," Obama said.

"He just says, 'Well, I’m going to negotiate a better deal.' Well, what, how exactly are you going to negotiate that? What magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is, he doesn’t have an answer.”"

The left has been saying that Trump was going to destroy the economy. People are getting tired of listening to left leaning alarmists that keep getting it wrong while predicting "ARMAGEDDON"!!!!!!!!

Experts predicted economic Armageddon under Trump — where are they now?
"The economy is strong, unemployment is low and wages are rising, according to the latest economic data released Friday, which is in stark contrast to what the vast majority of elite economic opinion predicted just a few years ago from a Trump presidency.

The latest unemployment report has joblessness at 3.6%. Where is the Trump Armageddon Squad now?

"What’s even more egregious is that the same folks predicting the end of the world refuse to provide sane analysis of radical proposals dribbling out of the mouths of the Democrats. They report on Medicare-for-All, the Green New Deal and college debt forgiveness as if these cockamamie ideas will have no impact on the economy."

"For example, if you relied on the Washington Post just a month before Election Day 2016, you would think the economy was on the brink of disaster. A President Trump Could Destroy the World,” screamed one headline from its editorial page, which predicted economic collapse because of Trump’s nationalist trade policies, ignoring, of course, he was proposing one of the largest fiscal stimuluses in years though his tax plan and deregulation."

"Politico wrote that “Wall Street is set up for a major crash if Donald Trump shocks the world on Election Day and wins the White House,” in a piece citing various economists."

Again, we all make mistakes, and even a few of the Trump doubters such as entrepreneur Mark Cuban (famous for tweeting, “In the event that @realDonaldTrump wins, I have no doubt in my mind that the market tanks”

First you imply that Obama gave Trump a good "foundation" to build on. Then you state that the president has little to do with the economy. If that is so why all the doom and gloom about how Trump is going to destroy the economy? Is that just more liberal "orange man bad" garbage?

That fair enough, but you do know that even though employment in the manufacturing sector has decreased the amount we produce has grown, right?

Facts are interesting. Of course on average Americans made more money. Unfortunately most of the actual dollars from Trump’s tax cuts went to the more wealthy which makes the averages look good. The money and wage increases for non management still are pathetic.

it is like claiming the increase in stock prices reflects the economy when 84% goes to the top 10%.

The OP didn't say on average. The OP said across the board.

Bet you cannot find one economic metric that has significantly changed slope or direction since Trump took office. Excluding the national debt of course.

No it did not say across all income groups. It used averages by city. Well to be specific the OP did say across the board but the link that supposed was the basis for the OP only used averages by city. So the OP misrepresented what the link said.

sorry but nothing in that data shows growth over the Trump presidency. And the statement says quite clearly the recent tiny increase in value is due to inflation.

So to put it simply Trump’s tax cut that supposedly was going to bring ,manufacturing back to America was a lie. Very much like his Claim his tariffs were going to be paid for by China not by the American consumers.

It's over 50 for the entirety of Trumps presidency. Do you need help understanding the graph?

The salient phrase is “ as a whole”. And yes Trump has indeed been amazing at increasing the wealth of the already wealthy. I think the number was 87% of the corporate tax cuts went to stock buybacks, and dividend increases and upper management pay/ benefit increases.

Americans made more money in every major metro area in 2018

Yet had to spend it to survive the increase in living expenses...

So the increased jobs and wages are just an illusion in your mind?
