South Dakota Bill Would Jail Doctors Who Drug or Perform Surgery on ‘Transgender’ Children

Outstanding. Finally this child mutilation masquerading as conversation therapy for the lgbt movement is being put on notice. Underage children should NEVER be subjected to drugs that destroy the body of a developing child. Will this bring about other states brave enough to take on the alphabet people and their conversion goals through drugs on children?


A South Dakota lawmaker is introducing legislation that would throw doctors in jail who help transgender children along on their gender transition by dosing them with drugs and performing surgeries to mutilate their genitals.

The Vulnerable Child Protection Act, or House Bill 1057, would make it a class four felony for doctors in the state of South Dakota to surgically alter the gender of a child. It would also criminalize a doctor from prescribing puberty-blocking drugs to children as well.

“It is a bill to protect vulnerable South Dakota children who have some challenges with understanding if they’re a boy or a girl. It’s the same penalty as we established in the Female Genital Mutilation bill, I copied the penalty from that bill. I think of the procedures as similar, they’re both mutilating procedures,” said Representative Fred Deutsch, who proposed the bill during the first week of the new legislative session.

If you want to act out on thoughts and feelings which may be nothing more than the manifestation of some underlying mental illness... as an adult... then by all means. Minors should be off limits.

You know this country is going to hell in a handbasket when laws like this are needed. When I grew up I never saw a person who thought s/he was born with the wrong anatomy, but today they're everywhere. It's almost like parents, teachers and progressives in general want to prove their progressiveness by brainwashing kids into believing they're something they're not. Along with this proposed law, I'd even argue to make it illegal for anyone anywhere to promote or encourage the idea that some kid is not who s/he says s/he is.

Biology and anatomy are settled science and the science deniers will never be able to change that with hormones and cosmetic surgery. Putting a table cloth on my stove does not turn my stove into a table.

Horrendous. Our children are falling behind other countries in reading, writing and arithmetic. Instead of basic education, they are being taught that their brain and their genitals don't have to match...and that their brain overrules their biological genitalia.

I would have said that seeing as a minor is unable to make these decisions until he/she is a legal adult and that a parent should not make said decisions for the child, the fact that this law needs to be enacted when it should be obvious is a sad commentary on what our society has become. Also, since the brain of a minor is not fully formed until after they are grown, it is best to wait until then for such medical procedures to be implemented, with the choice being made by said person who is now mature enough to reasonably understand the consequences and costs involved, not just financial but also physical and social. A child is not able to completely comprehend this, and the parents of this child will not have to live with the results of the decisions made and so should not have to make them in this case.

Good. White liberals here in the US would call this genital mutilation if it happened anywhere else in the world. But when you want a trans child to show off to your friends and eventually use in a discrimination lawsuit, it's "being progressive".

I am a small-government Libertarian who thinks the fewer laws and restrictions on our freedom, the better off we all are.

I have to draw the line when it comes to adults thinking it's A-Okay to mutilate our children. Forcing gender-reassignment drugs and bodily mutilation on minors who are not old enough to understand the implications is reprehensible and indefensible.

Liberals want to ban vaping flavors and limit use to people over 21-years....but cutting off you daughter's healthy breasts or your son's healthy penis before they are adults is "telling you how to raise your kids". That is not "medical treatment". It is abuse and torture.

I don't think you're concerned about government intervention where minors are concerned, or even that conservatives on some occasions will attempt to legislate such laws. I think you're one of those on the far left who simply embraces transgenderism no questions asked.

There is no settled science. The only "science" shows that over 65%-95% of kids who have gender identity issues as minors will outgrow it with desistance (taking a "wait and see" approach, versus rushing children to drugs and surgery). The drugs and surgery, on the other hand, are irreversible.

I'm still waiting for the Texas legislature to put forward and pass a similar bill to protect the children. Last I heard on the James Younger case, which has inspired child protection bills against transgender mutilation of children, our representative who promised legislation said they "ran out of time during the session before legislators went on recess".

The ONE TIME I think, "There should be a law!!!!"....and they make excuses for not passing needed legislation.
