As far as invading other nations Japan tried that and got nuked. They did things like perform medical experiments on Chinese, enslave Korean women as sex slaves, torture and murder POWs, etc. Stuff liberals probably know nothing about. They are too busy learning about Columbus killing Indians. I guess in liberal land the Great East Asia co-prosperity sphere was a wonderful thing.

So one segment of America is 5x more likely to engage in violent crime and your response is to disarm the segments that actually obey the law, right?

Meanwhile, Democrats are unwilling to deport hardened, violent illegal criminals but you want the rest of us to forfeit our guns, right? No thanks.

Funny in France, guns are globally banned aswell, didn't prevented us to be shot on sight. Maybe one of the reason is that japan have japanese citizens and american have american citizens.

I don't have a particular opinion on the gun debate, mostly because there is globally too much cultural differences. I'm not a huge fan of guns, but I can recognize a flawed arguments when I see one.

True. Crime is seen as dishonorable in Japan. A disturbance of national Wu.

Its only insane to arm everyone if everyone has violent tendencies. Suppose Japan has 1 in 100k who is violent and we have 100 in 100k who are violent. In both cases, the vast majority of people are not violent, and in both cases the vast majority of people may need to defend themselves from the small minority that are.

Japanese people are unlike any people on the planet, they are very calculated, polite, and adhere to very structured social order.. Also their population is not as inviting as the U.S. they have very few ethnic mixing with its population being 98% Japanese..

A stark difference in what we and who we host and protect in this country! ¯\_(º¸º)_/¯

I doubt only a handful of Americans WANT or could adhere to a Japanese way of life.. And if there were you would want to look to religion as Japanese way of life is just that stringent and focused!

You could hand an M60 to every citizen of Japan and the murder rate wouldn't go up.

Reason: Japanese culture is not full of murderous thugs.

Correct - people who do not shoot other people with their guns are not the problem - the easy availability of Guns to folks who do shoot people is certainly one problem.

Why subtract suicide and gang violence. Japan has more suicide than the US - and - they have the Yakuza

The issue I have with comparing to Japan is that Japan is a more homogeneous society - people then have more shared norms and moray's.

Crime is more prevalent here. So families should have the right to defend themselves, with guns.

My parents live a very rural area of the Northeast. It's 30+ minutes to the town police station. They've been robbed once. They have the right to protect themselves with handguns, shotguns, whatever.

The same reason Japan has strict border control and citizenship requirements.
