The Nazis estimated 11 million Jews in their sphere of influence. Almost 2/3 of them were murdered. 150,000 out of 11 million are less than 1.4%. The Nazis didn't see them as a big problem. As long as these few Jews were useful, they were allowed to stay alive. Btw, I remember a speech by Himmler where he said that there are still around 50,000 Jews (an understatement?) living in Germany. He called them "lice" and he said the Nazi government soon would cope with them too.

The extermination of Jews was an official thing. Jews were only allowed to be killed on orders. Anyone who mistreated a Jew on his own authority could be punished for that. Some SS camp guards were sentenced to death for stealing valuables that were taken from captive Jews. Unfortunately? LOL Crazy Hitler was at war with half the world. It was teamwork. The Russkies came as infantries from the east while UK and US attacked from overseas in the west. They also sent bombers to teach Hitler's servants the meaning of "total war". The Germans got what they wanted. But in retrospect, the Soviets proved to be bad luck for Germany. They replaced the Hitler dictatorship with a communist dictatorship. That means another 40 years of slavery for the poor eastern Germans.
