We already have background checks and classes of prohibited persons. For instance, any felon in possession of a gun, commits another felony. Do you think that criminals who already ignore gun laws will begin following any new laws? No, they only serve as further infringements.

 

Around here anyone can walk into the local gun show and buy. Used to be a guy where I worked would bring in a list of guns he had for sale every month. What background checks??? They just want to sell. Don't care what your name is or where you're from.

 

Easy note Japan has never had any large number of gun deaths and suicide, the overwhelming number of US gun deaths, in Japan is traditionally done with edged weapons not a gun.

As demonstrated by the Obamacare requirement to have parent insurance policies cover 26 year old children our society believes that many people 26 or younger are not functioning adults. At one time in our history, many 21 year old men had served in the military and were supporting a family. Now 26 year old people are supported by their parents. What I am trying to say is delayed adulthood is one reason for the SJWs. Another is the estrogen like compounds in our food and water.

For example, look at the way Bloomberg protected NYC from 16 OZ sodas or look at the way the DC government has protected black people from sugary drinks.
