I don't think he showed much courage at all but i love reading and listening to democrats cheer him on as a courageous, brave, decent man who is standing up to a terror of a man, a man who has 196 republicans in the house and 52 senators in the senate shaking in their boots. This is straight out of a novel, you all love to create stories, fantasies and villains, it keeps you ticking. First of all, the notion that 196 house members and 52 senators are all TERRIFIED of Trump and Mitt Romney is the only one who dares stand up to him is the biggest joke on the forums. Clearly, Romney has an agenda, we all just have to re-watch his never Trump speech 4 years ago where he basically called Trump horrible things, before Trump even got elected. This is all there is to it, he has always wanted to be president and always vehemently opposed Trump as a person. Trump is the furthest thing from a mormon that you can imagine. Second. Here's what Romney gets very wrong. Once again he is bringing his faith into politics and basically going after Trump because he doesn't believe Trump abides by the mormon principles, he doesn't think Trump upholds the values that Romney thinks are important, as a deeply religious man. What Romney fails to comprehend is that not all men are of the same faith and this is not a question of faith, morals, it's a question of democracy and whether it is justified to override will of the American voter. To remove a president from office because one thinks he is not a moral man or doesn't abide by the values of deeply religious people, like Romney, is very arrogant and dismissive of the millions of Americans who do not abide by the same values Romney abides by. Romney doesn't trust that the American voter can get it right, this is at the crux of Romney's error in judgement. Third. The idea that Romney is so courageous for doing this is laughable. Yes, republicans will criticize him but if you haven't noticed, it's the left who is much more vicious when you don't agree with them. Many republicans are publicly stating they respect Romney's decision and even though he will make some enemies with his party, he now has the MSM and democrats touting him as a hero, a courageous man. This is just a case of making a few more enemies but making many more friends, friends who are much more savage when you make enemies of them. So, yes, he will get heat from Trump and some republicans but it will pale in comparison to the savagery the MSM and left were going to unleash. Also, Romney is a billionaire, he could care less if he loses his senate seat, so he doesn't have much to lose and now getting all the attention from the MSM, left.... Sorry to say, Mitt is not much of a hero, just a man putting religion first, not putting trust in the American people to decide for themselves and now gets to avoid the relentless assault from the left and instead be the darling of the media. Trump will attack him? That's nothing new! Trump has been attacking Mitt for years, so what exactly is changing on this front?
