Sorry mods, couldn't fit the whole title of the article in the subject line. Here's the full title along with LINK: Rashida Tlaib says she clutched fellow Squad member Ilhan Omar's hand through 'trigerring moments' in Trump's State of The Union - including the 'applause' for cancer-stricken Rush Limbaugh when he got the Medal of Freedom

    Quote from article:

Seriously? This is a woman that was supposed to have immigrated to the US because her and her family was fleeing from all the violence over there and THIS triggers her? Sorry but I smell propaganda and spin. And an outright lie.

But lets assume for a minute that this isn't propaganda and spin or a lie. This is supposed to be one of our Representatives. And she gets scared of words? Why the hell is she in politics if she is fearful of WORDS? The whole POINT of having Congress is to settle disputes with WORDS.

If she was triggered by the SOTU speech to the point of needing to clutch another person, she needs to grow the **** up, or go back to Somalia.

If they were in the countries of their ancestors, they would be clutching more than each other's hands.

nah, they'd be touting the same anti-Semitism that they are now and being loved for it. Only difference is that they would be more open about their anti-Semitism.

Nothing will help. These American haters are in a world of their own and so are those who voted for them...

Her District's Voters are free to vote her out in November.

Unless you plan on moving to Minnesota and running for her seat, I don't really see much that you (or anyone else) can do.

I'm being serious here: If I knew how to contact someone who funds an independent campaign(because I am NOT a Republican nor Democrat), I'd run in the 13th district(which is where Ms.Tlaib represents) and I'd give it a run for her money.

We can get the word out to her district so the people in her district knows things like this. We can also send money to the people running against her.

She was upset at the applause for Rush and had to publicly state it. Seems like an attention grabbing scumbag.

I don't care if she doesn't like Rush. To each their own. I don't care if she voices her disapproval because again, to each their own.

But to have to leave in the middle of a function like the SOTU address because of it? To have to clutch at someone's hands because of what Trump said? No one that flakey should be sitting on any body politic.

Apparently, John Mason is her most high-profile primary opponent.

And, obviously, in a district Omar carried 78% to 22%, winning the Dem. Primary is tantamount to election.

    Oh the poor victims.

I think the term for this in soccer at least is flopping.

And the thing is these are the same folks embraced by the party that claims to be patriotic. Dems are trying to redefine what patriotism is. Same with morality and history. I guess when something disagrees with you then just redefine it. Sad.

I hope she gets reelected. I think I'll donate to her campaign. Her, and the rest of "the squad", are an absolute cancer to their party, and I only want them to metastasize further.

If harmless words can trigger you enough to be so irrationally scared, you clearly aren’t mentally fit to make decisions that can effect other people’s lives.

Just curious but did she take issue when Obama handed that same medal to a murderer who watched a woman drown while he scrambled to figure out a way to cover his ass? Sorry but Rush never did anything horribly wrong besides being stupid enough to smoke.

That woman is an antisemitic and racist cancer on politics who should be thankful for every day she is living here and not the true hell hole her parents escaped from.

Indeed. Just like Trump's voters are free to vote for him in November, failed coup attempt notwithstanding.

You have to ask why a speech that was overwhelmingly approved of by the American public would trigger someone. Are they that unpatriotic and fragile? These are the people who say horrible things about Trump and Americans, but a great speech offends them. They need to either go back to where they came from or go to a country they think is better than this one.

Let me explain how this works:

We had a president who claimed to be a Christian and he had this strange and contradictory policy of not importing other Christians, but instead focused strongly on importing people from a world famous peaceful religion. Oddly enough, the government officials he surrounded himself with who were also Christians or did not belong to that peaceful religion didn't see anything wrong with this policy, in fact, they supported it wholeheartedly and called anyone who disagreed with it a racist.

So these peaceful people come here and settle in communities where there were others like them, i.e. they segregated themselves. Due to their breeding prowess and lack of natural predators to control their population (in other words, people like themselves) they amassed enough of a population to elect one of their own into our government. Eventually these amazingly fertile folks will spawn more people than Omar's district can hold and they'll slide over to the next district where the process of electing one of their own will begin anew. Think of it this way; in China there is a nasty and dangerous bug going around and the only way to stop it from spreading is to contain it to a specific area, doing so will protect people outside that area from the harm and dangers caused by that bug. In this country, not only are we not containing that dangerous bug, but we've imported thousands of people who are infected with it. The ONLY reason I can think of as to why anyone would do that is because the people who made those policies wanted a population with as many infected people as possible, most likely because they hate the country they live in and want it changed.
