    Heh. Did this person explain how exactly Trump 'secured the USA from this virus'?

    During the 2014 Ebola outbreak right wing Americans, fuelled by the media they feed on, used a terrible human tragedy to attack the Democratic party. It was one of the most vile displays of gutter crawling partisanship imaginable that stopped the day after the mid-terms, when it was no longer politically necessary. it was never about what was actually happening. Each & every person who participated marked themselves among the lowest of the low.

    I wasn't on PF then, but I suspect that if I were to search the archives I might find some of our more active right wing posters crawling through the sewer.

    Anyone who uses this tragedy to launch unfounded attacks on Trump & the GOP will be similarly low. If Trump's Administration actually does something wrong then by all means highlight it. However, anyone who exaggerates, uses questionable sources, unsupported partisan claims or just tries to score pathetic little points while people die will mark themselves as the same type of human excrement as those who did the same in 2014.

    No one with a shred of decency or self respect should be using a human tragedy like this for partisan political ends.

    Pretty sure the Ebola outbreak was in 2014, and I wasn't the one using it to push my political causes. Had you the reading comprehension to understand what I wrote you would notice that it was aimed squarely at those who might choose to politicise this epidemic, particularly by criticising Trump without cause. In case you missed it, I'm not a fan of Trump, so I'm actually taking aim at those notionally on my 'side'. (I really shouldn't have to explain this. clearly the state of US education is worse than I thought)

    If you detected disgust at the way GOP supporters acted during the Ebola outbreak it is because the thought of it still makes me feel nauseous. It was a truly disgusting display which should not be repeated by anyone no matter what their opinion of Trump.

    There are some very legitimate grounds for criticising Trump, but using half truths, misrepresentations or outright lies to score a few political points in an internet debate would be pretty low.

    No, he pointed out a situation in the past that happened with Obama, and told people here it should not happen with Trump. He was defending Trump, or at least defending common sense and decency.

    A poorly written article meant to incite fear that doesn't say how the man died or if it's known what killed him. The author obviously wants us to knee jerk believe it was the virus that killed him.

    I was very pissed off at Obama for not taking action to secure the country during the Ebola outbreak.

    It was $11,000 a day just to dispose of the medical waste for each Ebola patient in the USA. It's a terrible way to die and if it had gotten out of hand it could have bankrupted the USA along with massive suffering.

    I think Trump should have closed all borders and POE in the USA until further notice several weeks back, but he at least has done something.

    Sure do pity those quarantined on the cruise ship near Yokohama, but better them than me. Looks like it may be a death ship.
